Last month, over 500 attendees from across Australia gathered at the Darwin Convention Centre for the 2026 Savanna Fire Forum and the National Indigenous Carbon Forum.

The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) event, held on Larrakia Country, offered a vital opportunity to share knowledge on Indigenous land management, the carbon industry, and environmental markets.

Highlights included the rise of women in ranger roles, innovative savanna fire management methods, and projects delivering biodiversity benefits beyond emissions reductions.

We're proud to provide a space where such important conversations, collaborations and connections take place.

Happy Friday! ✨ We're wrapping up the week with a good-news story!

Our team was proud to recently donate $4,000 to RSPCA Darwin as part of our annual Legends Global Month of Giving.

This incredible contribution was made possible through our year-round bottle and can recycling initiative, raising 10 cents for every item collected and returned through the Northern Territory's Container Deposit Scheme.

Not only does this help reduce landfill, but it also allows us to give back to our community in a meaningful way. 🌱🤝

A huge thank you to everyone who attended events at our venue in 2025 and took the time to recycle your bottles and cans—this generous gift is thanks to you!

🌏 It’s ! ♻️ This week is all about making small changes that create a big impact.

As part of our commitment to operating a sustainable business events venue, we’ve implemented a range of recycling initiatives to reduce waste, conserve resources and protect our environment:

✅ Partnering with Cookers to convert used cooking oil into biodiesel

✅ Collecting coffee grounds from events to use as natural fertiliser in community gardens

✅ Donating leftover conference materials to local organisations for craft projects

✅ Working with Darwin Plastic Makers Space to repurpose plastic lids and reduce landfill

Together with our local community, we’re finding solutions to minimise waste and create lasting positive impacts.

We’re also proud to be part of the Australian Business Events Association Sustainability Special Interest Group, where industry collaboration and knowledge-sharing are driving positive change towards a more sustainable future for events.
