Great news! 🤩 We are back open from Midday Thursday 18 January.

Water levels in the surrounding parkland have dropped and it is now safe to re-open the gates of KidsTown for the end of school holidays. Lawns have been freshly mowed and the kangaroos have moved back to the bush.

KidsTown Dig In Cafe and Disc Golf are open and available 10am to 3pm.
The Playground is open all day every day.

Here we go! This is your opportunity to come along to a Fruit & Veggie session in the 2024 Summer school holidays 🍅🥝🍐🫐🍇

The session is designed for your little people (ideally? I would suggest children aged between 3 and 10), to come along and have fun with fruits and veggies in a relaxed environment. We’ll play a game, read a story and then head to the tables to have fun with fruits and veggies.

You must book your spot - the best bit? It’s free!

🌱 Nourishing Dookie🌱

Today was our very final Nourishing Dookie session for the term and today’s focus was nourishing our wonderful volunteers! We hosted our volunteers with a Long Lunch under the trees in the school yard - the weather was perfect!

The students worked tirelessly to create a delicious lunch for our volunteers, using as many ingredients as possible from the schools gardens. Our volunteers also very generously brought something to share also, which the students loved. A spinach pie from Terease was a real hit!

Our Nourishing Dookie program has been designed to allow the students to engage with both the kitchen and the garden, however it has been the relationships they have built with the volunteers which has been one of the most wonderful outcomes. Getting the opportunity to sit and share a meal with one another today, was the perfect way to end a fantastic term of learning together.

We also had a visit from , so keep your eyes peeled on the local newspaper, for photos from today.

We’re already looking forward to next term!
