✨Winner✨ We are excited to announce the winner of the very first The Edge Physiotherapy Sporting Scholarship. I had a chat with Dom about how he came to the game of golf, his current commitments and what he’s looking forward to.
“Golf is something that had always been in the background, with my old man working in the turf and irrigation industry. It wasn’t until later in my teenage years that a few mates and I decided to go for a hit and I quickly became hooked.
While I prepare to head overseas for my first full season as a professional, my weeks are consistently filled with training 6 days a week which includes playing on course, range work, gym and analysis of my game. The rest of the time I’m working part time at Frensham as a sports coach.
What excites me about heading overseas and growing my game is the realisation that my dream profession is becoming closer by the day. I’m equally as excited to meet new people and have new experiences. Golf wise, I aspire to be in the main European tour in 2-4 yrs time while learning to enjoy being present with experiences and present in times of stress.”
