How Big Are Your Feelings? 🦜🌿

Today our Secret Agents explored their Feelings Thermometer 🌡️ — a fun visual activity that helps children recognise what different emotions feel like in their bodies, and how strong those feelings can get in different situations.

By identifying whether they’re feeling cool, calm, and collected or hot and ready to explode 💥, our junior agents are learning one of the most powerful emotional regulation skills of all: self-awareness.

Through the Secret Agent Society (SAS) program, kids learn to decode clues about emotions, manage big feelings, solve social mysteries, and build confident friendships — all while having fun in a supportive and empowering environment.

We absolutely love watching our little agents grow their emotional intelligence week by week. Programs like SAS make such a difference in helping kids thrive both socially and emotionally — our next program begins in Term 1 of 2026 - click here to register your interest ✨

Your mental health isn’t just shaped by what happens in therapy sessions or during life’s big events — it’s also supported by the small, everyday choices you make.

Following Mental Health Week, we’re highlighting 5 simple but powerful habits you can incorporate into your day — no matter how busy life gets. These habits are backed by psychological research and designed to help you feel more grounded, balanced, and emotionally resilient over time.

💬 Start your day with intention
Take a quiet moment each morning to set the tone for the day. Whether it’s a word, a mindset, or a gentle reminder, beginning the day mindfully can reduce stress and bring clarity.

💬 Move your body in a way that feels good
Movement supports both physical and mental health — and it doesn’t have to be intense. A walk, a stretch, or dancing to your favourite song can lift your mood and calm your nervous system.

💬 Connect with one person each day
We’re wired for connection. A short conversation, a kind message, or even a smile at someone in passing can reduce feelings of isolation and boost your sense of belonging.

💬 Set one small digital boundary
Our devices can drain our energy without us even realising. Try switching off notifications, creating no-phone time at meals, or simply pausing before you scroll. A little distance can go a long way.

💬 End your day with a self check-in
Take two minutes before bed to ask yourself: What went well today? What do I need to let go of? This simple act of reflection supports self-awareness and helps your mind unwind.

These habits don’t require perfection or hours of your time — just a little intention and consistency. They’re a reminder that taking care of your mental wellbeing doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Small habits can lead to big shifts.

When we think about mental health support, it’s easy to imagine dramatic life changes or intensive therapy. But the truth is, emotional wellbeing often begins with the smallest, most consistent acts of care—a quiet morning ritual, a stretch between meetings, a moment of stillness before bed.

Following Mental Health Week, we’re turning the spotlight onto five everyday habits that are simple, research-backed, and actually doable—especially for those busy, messy, very human days we all experience.

These are not grand gestures or “fix-it-fast” solutions. They’re gentle reminders that your mental health matters every day, not just when things fall apart.

🍃 A cup of tea in silence.
🍃 A journal entry before bed.
‍🍃 A walk without your phone.
🍃 A deep breath before replying.
🍃 A text that says, “I’m thinking of you.”

These little moments may not look like much—but they are powerful acts of prevention, grounding, and self-respect. They’re the building blocks of emotional resilience.

So let this be your reminder: you don’t have to do it all to take care of yourself. Start small. Stay consistent. Show up for your mental health in the ways that feel right for you. 💚

Mental health support doesn’t always mean big life changes or long therapy sessions.

Sometimes, it starts with the smallest step—a breath, a moment of connection, or a screen break.

Following Mental Health Week, we’re focusing on five everyday habits that support emotional wellbeing and long-term resilience.

These habits are simple, doable, and rooted in psychological research—because your mental health deserves care every day, not just when you’re struggling. 💚

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought, “I’m not enough,” you’re not alone.

But what if the problem isn’t your body — it’s the unrealistic standards and deep-rooted beliefs you’ve been taught to hold?

This Mental Health Month, we’re exploring the truth about body image:
it’s not just about how you look — it’s about how you feel, who you believe you are, and whether you think you belong.

👉 In our latest blog, we unpack the psychological roots of body dissatisfaction and how therapy can support your healing.

Let’s start by saying this: your body is not the problem.

Shame loves silence.

Body image struggles are often tangled up in something deeper: shame.
That heavy feeling that whispers:
“I’m not good enough.”
“I don’t belong.”
“I’ll be loved when I look different.”

In therapy, we don’t just work on thoughts — we explore where those thoughts came from, what pain they’re protecting, and how we can rewrite them with compassion.

You don’t need to carry this alone.

Let’s break this stigma once and for all:
Going to therapy doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re brave.

Whether you’re feeling low, navigating a life transition, or simply want to understand yourself better, reaching out is a powerful act of self-respect. 💛

You don’t need to earn your place in therapy by “having it worse” or being in crisis. Mental health care should be just as normal as physical health care—regular, preventative, and empowering.

On this World Mental Health Day, we’re here to remind you:

You are worthy of support. You are allowed to grow. You are not alone.

Let’s normalise seeking help—not as weakness, but as wisdom.

Therapy isn’t just for when life feels unbearable—it can be one of the most valuable tools for personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional maintenance. 🌿

You don’t have to wait for a crisis to prioritise your mental health. In fact, the earlier we seek support, the more empowered we become to handle life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.

Here are 5 reasons people benefit from therapy even when things seem “fine”:

💬 Build emotional resilience – Life has its highs and lows. Therapy helps you develop the inner tools to navigate difficult moments before they escalate.

💬 Understand yourself – Discover your emotional patterns, core beliefs, and what drives your behaviour. This insight leads to healthier choices and deeper self-compassion.

💬 Improve communication and relationships – Therapy can help you express your needs, set boundaries, and connect more authentically with others.

💬 Learn coping tools – You’ll gain practical skills to manage stress, anxiety, and negative thinking—before they become overwhelming.

💬 Prevent burnout – Regular check-ins can help you stay aligned with your values and avoid physical and emotional exhaustion.

Therapy isn’t just a space to fix something—it’s a space to grow. It’s where you get to know yourself better, reflect, and build the kind of emotional strength that supports long-term wellbeing.

This World Mental Health Day let’s reframe therapy not as a last resort, but as a healthy, proactive investment in ourselves. 💚

Today is World Mental Health Day — a chance to challenge stigma and start real conversations about emotional wellbeing.

There’s a common myth that therapy is only for people in crisis. But the truth is, therapy can be just as powerful when life feels “fine.” It’s not just about managing illness — it’s about understanding yourself, building resilience, and growing in self-awareness.

You don’t have to wait until breaking point to reach out. Therapy can be a regular act of self-care, reflection, and support — a space to grow, not just to cope.

Let’s shift the conversation from crisis care to preventative care. Because mental health matters every day. 💚
