Hearing loss can add an extra layer of stress when you have a hearing loss, but some added preparation can go a long way toward making things easier. Here are our top tips:

✅ Make sure your hearing aids are charged or have fresh batteries before heading out to an event, and that you are wearing them.
✅ Make sure you have recently changed your wax guards and domes, and pop an extra set in your pocket or bag just in case.
✅ Use your listening tactics, such as facing the person who is speaking, moving close to the person you are speaking with, making sure there is light on the speaker's face, and turning down the background noise.
✅ Remember, it is okay to take a break when you need it.

Most of all, focus on catching the meaning of the conversation rather than every word, and relax and enjoy.

Our team will be taking a well-earned break over the holidays. The last day our clinic will be open for 2025 will be the 23rd of December. We will then be closed from the 24th of December until the 4th of January inclusive. We will reopen on Monday, the 5th of January.

🔉Tinnitus Experts

Earlier this year a few select Audiologists had the incredible opportunity to attend advanced Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) training, learning directly from the pioneers of TRT, Dr. Pawel Jastreboff and Dr. Margaret Jastreboff! 🧠🎶 and I was there to learn from the experts.
