Family and friends of George are warmly invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Anna, 31A Crombie Avenue, Bundall on Thursday 22nd January, 2026 commencing at 11:30am, Cortege will then proceed to Southport General Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations are made to
George’s beloved Greek Orthodox Church of St Anna.

Today, we pause with heavy hearts to honour the lives taken and the families forever changed by the tragedy at Bondi.

To the families and friends who are grieving, we extend our deepest sympathy. Your pain is shared, and your loved ones are held in the collective heart of the community. In the face of such sorrow, we also acknowledge the bravery, kindness, and unity shown by strangers who helped one another, and by first responders who acted with courage and care.

For some it was the first time coming back and we deeply appreciate your courage and strength 🙏 Thank you to all of those who watched on the live stream. We would also dearly like to thank the dedicated Jane Donnelly for her professional service, guidance and for helping so many people throughout the year, Lucia from Cafe Mobile for the amazing coffee's and Mr & Mrs Green for helping with the catering. As Christmas approaches, we know this season can be especially hard for those who's loved ones are no longer with us.

A Gentle Touch Funerals warmly invite you and your family to join us in our Federation Chapel as we come together to honour and remember those who cannot be with us this Christmas.
