This week, I had the privilege of holding space within a beautiful retreat environment centred around self alignment.

Stepping away from the noise of daily life…
Slowing things down…
Creating space for people to reconnect with themselves again.

What stood out most were the shifts that happened across the week.

Some arrived carrying deep physical pain…
and left feeling lighter, moving more freely.

Others walked away with new daily habits of self-care — ways to nourish and nurture not only their physical bodies, but their mental and emotional wellbeing too.

Nothing was forced.
Just space, support, and the opportunity to realign.

We also shared moments of joy — getting dressed up and dancing together on our final night, celebrating the journey.

These retreats are about so much more than time away.

They are about rest and reset…
learning and healing…
growth, connection, and coming back to self.

And it’s always an honour to hold that space.

And underneath it all… there they are.

Today, holding space at the Heal Connect retreat, I was reminded again that so many people don’t need more effort.

They need space.
Safety.
A moment to simply be.

It’s in those moments that something begins to shift.

Gently. Naturally.

And it’s always an honour to witness that.

And somewhere along the way, you forget what it feels like to just be you.

To slow down.
To breathe.
To feel grounded again.

This is why I created the Burnt-out Mumma Retreat.

Many people think change requires more discipline.

But often what the body actually needs is safety.

When the nervous system feels safe, things begin to shift naturally.

Breathing slows.
The mind becomes clearer.
Patterns that once felt stuck begin to soften.

This is one of the reasons retreat spaces can be so powerful.

When we step away from the constant demands of daily life, the body finally has room to settle.

This Sunday I’ll be stepping into a retreat space with the Heal Connect community, holding space for exactly that.

Mondays can arrive with a lot already waiting for us.

Messages.

Before the week gathers momentum, I like to take a moment to pause.

A breath.
A quiet cup of tea.
A chance to check in with myself.

Because when we slow down, even briefly, something shifts.

The nervous system softens.
Clarity returns.

This week I’m also preparing to step into a beautiful retreat space with the Heal Connect community on Sunday, holding space for people to pause, breathe and reconnect.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply slow down long enough to hear ourselves again.

They hold families together.
They manage homes, work, emotions, expectations… often all at once.

And somewhere along the way, they forget to hold space for themselves.

This is one of the reasons I created the Burnt-out Mumma Retreat.

It’s not a large group event or a fixed date.

It’s a personalised retreat space for mothers who feel the call to step away, pause, and reconnect with themselves again.

A space to breathe.
To reset the nervous system.
To refill the cup that so often pours into everyone else.

When life is busy and responsibilities keep piling up, the body stays in a constant state of doing.

Thinking.
Solving.
Managing.
Carrying.

But when we pause …. even briefly…. something shifts.

The nervous system softens.
Breathing slows.

Last night I sat down to plan the week ahead and if I’m honest… I felt a little flat.

Not overwhelmed.
Not burnt out.
Just human.

And this is something I talk about with clients often.

Change isn’t built on constant motivation.
It’s built on small, consistent steps — even on the days that feel a bit “meh.”

So today I’m doing the simplest thing.

Showing up anyway.

Because real change doesn’t happen in the big dramatic moments.

It happens in the quiet ones.

Over the next couple of weeks I’ll also be stepping into some beautiful retreat spaces — a reminder of how powerful it is to pause, reconnect and breathe again.

But today… it simply starts with showing up.

Be honest…

Have you ever hidden in the bathroom just to get 30 seconds of peace?

Not because you don’t love your kids.
But because by 5pm you feel…

Exhausted but wired.
Overstimulated.
Like you have zero patience left.

And then you snap.
And then you feel awful.

I’ve been having honest conversations with working mums about this pattern.

The snapping.
The shutdown.
The guilt spiral after.
