If you train, run, or hit the gym around Varsity Lakes, you have probably used one (or avoided it entirely! 😬)

The truth is that foam rolling can help with short-term pain relief and movement, but it is not a magic fix for tight muscles. πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ It works best as one small part of a bigger picture, alongside strength training, mobility work, and good warm-ups.

When it is used properly, foam rolling can absolutely be part of a comprehensive rehab or mobility routine! When it's not used properly, it often just hurts without much payoff. 😫

Short answer: foam rolling DOES WORK... But not in the way many people think. We are not breaking up scar tissue or muscle adhesions with a simple foam roller.πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

But we ARE changing the muscle tension to reduce muscle pain, increase mobility & range of motion, and make your workouts feel better. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Our best advice is consistent foam rolling, paired with a smart warm up routine and strength training.πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

And a quick tip- 15 sec per area is way more doable than the classic 60 seconds! πŸ‘πŸΌ πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
