Did you know that just one bad sunburn can damage your skin’s DNA, increasing your risk of skin cancer and aging?

If you’ve had a sunburn, it’s a sign to have it professionally checked, especially if you have any new or changing moles, sores, or growths that aren’t healing.

Why a single sunburn is a concern:-

DNA damage: A sunburn occurs when the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation damages the DNA in your skin cells.

Increased cancer risk: This damage increases your risk of developing skin cancer later in life. The more and more severe your sunburns, the higher your risk.

Cell death and peeling: Your body responds to the damage by killing off the top layers of skin cells, which is why it peels. New cells are formed underneath, but they may also have DNA damage that wasn’t repaired.

Cute or not, they aren’t loved by all, cherry angiomas can be in areas that clothing or jewellery may rub on, or some clients are seeking a clearer canvas.

Our laser treatment uses precision light to safely and effectively fade these small red spots, revealing clearer skin. It’s a quick procedure with little to no downtime.

What happens during treatment?
* A vascular laser targets the oxyhaemohlobin (blood vessels) within the angioma.
* The heat from the laser causes the vessels to collapse, and the angioma can darken immediately. Our immune systems then carry away the debris and the cherry begins to fade.
* A cooling gel is often applied to keep the skin comfortable.

What to expect afterward
* The treated area may appear red or slightly bruised for a few days.
* Over one to two weeks, the angioma will typically shrink, flake off, or disappear completely.
* In most cases, cherry angiomas do not return, but new ones can develop over time.
