My Asana Your neighbourhood wellness sanctuary where you can find a sense of calm through Yoga, Pilates, Workshops and Creative Arts.

Vinyasa is the primary style of yoga taught at My Asana. This style focuses on breath, synchronized with movement. Classes will take you through a beautiful flowing series of poses that will strengthen your body and mind helping you become grounded both mentally and physically. My Align
This class is designed for people who are new to yoga or people wanting to focus on alignment and basic principles. The focus is on breaking down postures and giving explanations of key alignments to ensure safety, on going health and the full benefits of yoga. The practice will flow through a sequence of postures that will be held a little longer than a traditional flow class. This allows students to become more aware of their body alignment. Options to modify postures will also be a focus in these classes, to allow for a gradual build up to more advanced poses. Align classes create endurance and build muscle, whilst teaching the foundations of traditional yoga practice. My Flow
This is a dynamic, flowing vinyasa class. They are best suited to intermediate and experienced yogis, however all are welcome. Classes are designed to make you sweat, detox your body and challenge you physically and mentally. People are encourage to listen to their own body, and rest at any point throughout the class to allow their body to revive. Each of our teachers will bring their own flare of sequencing and energy into each class. And you will walk away feeling energised, lighter and clearer of mind


Restorative
Our restorative classes balance out the more active and fast flowing practices offered at My Asana. This is known as the Yin (as opposed to the more powerful Yang)
Initiating deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit, it is a great wind down after a busy day or week. With the use of bolsters and blocks, postures are held for longer periods of time allowing passive stretching to give a deep opening to the body. With fewer poses held for longer periods, you may find yourself in a meditative state throughout this class. In today’s fast paced world, this is the perfect antidote to stressful living.

I’m back from Italy, I’m so grateful, my heart feels full, and I am reminded yet again how lucky I am to be alive. These last few weeks I have stepped out of my role of being the “teacher” both as Tal the “mamma teacher” trying to impart lessons and wisdom to my kiddos and the Yoga teacher, caring so deeply for each single human being I have the privilege to share Yoga with. I happily and eagerly stepped into being the student. I must say I have cherished every single moment of it. I have come back so inspired. Here are a few things I learned and can’t wait to share with you in the next months. 1. Everything is energy, and oh boy we need to take the time to notice what is happening in our incredible system. The body, mind and spirit are always communicating with us, often we just ain’t listening. 2. We are responsible for our own happiness and joy. 3. Kitten ( it will change your down dog and so many other standing poses- thanks ) 4. The beautiful practice of Shamata or Calm or Tranquil Abiding. We can get so fancy these days with all our practices, but peeling it back to this was so simple, so accessible. This technique develops our power of attention and bring our coarse and subtle thoughts to a restful state. 5. Hatha Yoga- wow! I met the incredible and she opened up a litttle window in my heart I didn’t know was closed. I felt so inspired and excited to learn from this woman and all the practices were all so simple, just beautiful ways to increase the Prana and vitality in our systems. Yoga somewhere along the path got so fancy, it doesn’t need to be. Simple works well. She reminded me of this. 6. Friendship and nourishing deep conversation is everything, it is the medicine for the soul. 7. Nature and walking is underrated 8. Europeans are very tall, and gorgeous 😉

Embracing La Dolce Fernet: The Sweetness of Doing Nothing.

Ciao, friends! Here I am at the beautiful retreat . My senses are completely alive, surrounded by autumnal leaves, crisp cold sunny days and lots of time to just be. It got me thinking about how our lives are so often on autopilot we rush through life, we find it hard to slow down, we miss the little things. Travel opens us up, revealing beauty in ways our daily rushed lives don’t allow us to do. In Italy, I find the joy of “La Dolce Fernet”—the sweetness of doing nothing—amidst breathtaking views and delicious flavors.

Through simple moments of relaxation, we reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. Just like in yoga, it’s about being present and savoring life’s little pleasures.

Let’s take a moment to taste, see, and truly *be* in the world—because the magic is always there, waiting to be discovered. I’m cooking up plans for a My Asana retreat at this beautiful location next year. If that sounds like something for you shoot me a DM. My Asana is so lucky to have the wonderful Carol from for her Free Your Fascia workshop. Join Carol for a 2-Hours ‘Free Your Fascia’ workshop to unwind all the stress and tension for a deep nourishing self-care afternoon. This workshop is for new and seasonal yogis to learn to give yourself a myofascial release to target the connective tissues (fascia) that connect the whole body from head to toe. Using specific My Yoga Essence therapy balls designed to roll and restore the major trigger points to stimulate fluids in the front, back, and side lines of the body that are common in holding tension and stress.

When the body holds tension and stress, it creates dryness, tightness and blocks in the fascia and the nerves that underlies it, which hinders the flow of energy and circulation. Myofascial Release helps to hydrate the fascial tissue, creating freedom in the range of motion, eliminate pain, reduce the risk of injuries and assists in recovery. In addition, Myofascial Release promotes circulation, influence sensory nerves and increase energy flow.

Our Story

My Pilates

Our Pilates classes use both traditional and dynamic method with mats and props to create a full body workout that challenges you through all planes of movement. Our trained instructors don’t just teach textbook moves but bring their own personality, specialised skills and experience to their classes. Classes are offered in convenient 55-minute blocks, before or after yoga class (so you can combine those practise and get full nourishment for your wellbeing) and are designed to energise the body whilst creating lean muscle mass. Our full body workouts not only shape and tone a long, strong physique but improve flexibility, strength and coordination. We keep our class numbers small, so you’re not just a number but part of our community. Everyone gets personalised one-on-one treatment in a fun, social environment. Get ready to sweat, shake and laugh your way to the core!
