Randwick’s Michael Freedman enjoyed a satisfying moment at Randwick on Saturday when Stay Inside colt Incognito under Tommy Berry won the $250,000, Group 3 Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate (1000m), the first black type race of the Sydney season for two-year-old colts.
After settling sixth in the run and posted 3 wide at the turn, he still had 3 lengths to make up. From the 250m Berry asked his charge to sprint and the colt responded well and went away to claim the important early season black type victory by a short neck over race favourite I’m Ya Huckleberry.
