Paul from the Lions Club of Victor Harbor & Port Elliot Inc. popped in to collect another big batch of glasses donated by our amazing community. In the past month alone, they’ve bundled 2,500 pairs to be sent overseas. 👏👓

If you’ve ever wondered what happens to your donated glasses, here’s how it works:
✨ The Lions team sorts and cleans every pair
✨ Prescriptions are measured and catalogued
✨ Glasses are then shipped to developing countries
✨ They’re matched and given to people who otherwise wouldn’t have access to vision correction

Your old glasses get a second life, and someone across the world gets the chance to see clearly.

Last Friday was the Charity Golf Day at McCracken Golf Club, and we were thrilled to donate a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses for the silent auction. 😎⛳

Marg from the club popped in to collect them ahead of the event, and we’re so glad they were part of supporting such a great cause. Congratulations to the lucky winner!

Meet Missy, the world’s cutest glasses critic. 🐾👓

Her owner has brought in their glasses twice lately after Missy decided they made the perfect chew toy. She looks so sweet and innocent in her red harness that we’re almost convinced she could be our new mascot - we just need to work on that taste for eyewear first! ❤️
