I made the mistake of thinking I had a spare few minutes to grab a yummy juice from Skippys before heading to the sauna to ride out the storm and got caught in it instead! 🌩⛈️🌨

Forgive the camera shake. That's me shivering from being blasted by tje rain and wind.
The wind was strong enough to take my breath away at some points!

It was actually kind of exhilarating!

Now calming down and warming up in the sauna😅

It's Lemon Myrtle season!
Backhousia citriodora is putting on a show at the moment with these delightful, delicately-scented blossoms 🌼

I use the leaves on their own as a relaxing tea and sometimes add the flowers just for extra prettiness.

The essential oil is very fresh and uplifting and associated with spiritual awakening. I use it in the massage part of my MURJ sessions when guided.

The leaves can also be dried and ground and used for flavouring savoury dishes and baked goods 😋🧁

Plus, the leaves can be lit (with care) and used for space clearing as a local and sustainable alternative to the smudging sage.

I picked these few flowers at my local golf course. We're very lucky here in south-east queensland as they're common as street, park and garden trees 🌳

(A little nod to my dutch heritage with the vase 🇳🇱 )

Ask for lemon myrtle to be included in your next relaxation massage or MURJ light body activation session ✨️🙌
