Unlike those flaky dates, your cervical screen is reliable, straightforward, and actually has your best interests at heart. ❤️

The cervical screening test doesn’t send mixed signals and definitely won’t leave you on read. 💬

It's recommended you book an appointment for a cervical screen every 5 years if you're:
👉 aged between 25 and 74
👉 a woman or a person with a cervix
👉 s*xually active (or ever have been).

Cervical screening is important even if you have been vaccinated against HPV or are not currently s*xually active. It's a date worth keeping.

You can have your GP or other healthcare provider complete the test or you can collect your own sample. Both choices are equally accurate and safe. 🥰

We need donors of all blood types, help us find them by sharing this post.

Check out Leah’s story.

Leah Sheppard was in her early 30s when her mental health began to suffer. For a long time she wasn’t sure what was happening to her and didn’t want to “bother” anyone about it. So, she pushed on in silence.

Like so many women, Leah was juggling countless demands while keeping her struggle hidden.

This Women’s Health Week, she shared her story with us and a powerful reminder: recognise the early signs of a mental health condition, and seek help before you reach crisis point.

Leah wants you to know, “there is no shame in having a mental health condition or seeking support.” If you’re struggling, you deserve help – and it is available.

Beyond Blue offers free mental health services. Their Support Service is available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 and via webchat or email at beyondblue.org.au/get-support.

The pain gap is all about how s*x and gender work together to create differences – often negative ones – in women’s health and pain.

We hear it time and again: women feeling dismissed or ignored when seeking help for their pain. S*x and gender both play a role – from society conditioning women to 'just get on with it', to medical research that has historically left women out.

We need to ensure pain management is fair and effective for women. We need to challenge the gender norms that say women should ‘put up’ with pain. Most of all, women need to be listened to – and believed.

It’s time to close the gender pain gap.
