Your provider’s role is to deliver safe, person-centred supports and services.

An independent advocate’s role is to represent you – and only you – without conflict or competing interests.

Providers can share factual information about NDIS services and refer you to independent advocacy organisations. But they cannot represent you as your advocate.

Separating these roles keeps boundaries clear and your rights protected.

I'm very pleased to announce a new emergent writing tool - Flip Keyboard. You can check it out at https://flipkeyboard.com/. I've just blogged about it at https://janefarrall.com/flip-keyboard-a-new-option-for-emergent-writers/ - but if you're working with emergent writers just head straight to the site and check it out.

There's an option to set it up in app mode on your iPad which will allow it to function more like an app that a website. You can see the instructions for this on the site. I hope you and your emergent writers enjoy using it!!
