The Kids I Can team were excited to be invited to present at the Childkind Reimagine 2025 conference. The conference was attended by Donalee, Janine and Sarah from the 26th to the 28th October. We had the opportunity to share our Coordinated Developmental Supports Model and hear from many other speakers sharing their knowledge, insights and personal journeys.

We are thrilled to welcome Louise Evans to our Kids I Can family in the role of Educator. Louise comes to our team with a wealth of experience in the early childhood space and particularly in recent years working with children and families in the early intervention sector.
We are all excited to see our team continue to grow and can’t wait to welcome Louise from Monday 27/10/25.

As part of our ongoing advocacy, the Kids I Can team had the opportunity to meet with Michael McCormack MP today. We were able to highlight the importance of early supports to ensure that all children can live a life with hope and optimism in the future.

With cuts to NDIS and the proposed introduction of the Thriving Kids Initiative for children with mild to moderate needs it is important that we all continue to advocate so that all children have access to supports that are individualised and reflect best practice.

We have also made a submission to the senate committee regarding our concerns with the proposed Thriving Kids Initiative on the long term outcomes for children and families.

We are so pleased to see this vital work finally approved and ready for release.
The Kids I Can Team engaged in consultations and workshops during the development of the framework. We couldn’t be prouder of our input but also that of familes, peak bodies, professionals and practitioners across the country.
We hope this valuable work will now help inform and shape the future for children and their families in the Early Childhood Intervention sector.
Well done to everyone involved.
👏👏👏

PRECI are thrilled to announce the release of the official National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention, approved for publication by the Commonwealth Government.
The PRECI Project Team (Denise, Kerry, Susana, Anoo, Tim) have worked extremely hard to not only incorporate current evidence, but also the input from practitioners and researchers from a diversity of disciplines.
We have enjoyed working in collaboration with the other members of the Consortium over the last 18 months. Thank you to everyone who shared their expertise through the consultations. The Framework is better for all your input!
Watch this space for more information on the framework to come!

Kids I Can were part of a group of providers who met our MP this week. This is a people issue so lets rally people power now.

The Government announced changes to NDIS fees to be implemented on the 1st July that will have an impact on providers and participants across Australia, but will significantly impact those people living in regional, rural and remote locations.

It has been inspiring to see providers, peak bodies and participants rally together to support the reversal of these changes. The coming together of these groups shows the strength of the sector and is crucial for the ongoing advocacy for children and adults with developmental delays and disability.

You can get involved by signing the petition, contacting your MP or by sharing with others why ongoing support is important to your child and family.
