🔬The results are in from a clinical trial testing a drug to treat kidney disease and type 1 diabetes (T1D)!

🎉 For the first time in 30 years, a drug has achieved positive results for treating kidney disease in people living with T1D.

💊 In the FINE-ONE clinical trial, a treatment called finerenone reduced signs of kidney damage in volunteers who had chronic kidney disease and T1D.

📝 Finerenone is already available for people with type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, and its manufacturers soon plan to apply for regulatory approval for use of this groundbreaking treatment in T1D too.
