๐ What does it mean that KRS Health is a GP Teaching & RACGP Training Practice? ๐
You may notice a GP Registrar working alongside our doctors at KRS Health, and weโd love to explain what that means for you as our patient.
Our registrars are fully qualified medical doctors who have completed at least 2โ5 years of hospital and clinical experience before joining specialist General Practice training.
๐ They are training to become specialist GPs.
Registrars usually stay with any training practice for 6โ12 months at a time (as required by the RACGP training program). During this period, they work closely under the supervision of our senior GPs, ensuring safe, high-quality care at all times. They also have to move to different practices during the program to gain broader experiences.
๐ค Supervised, supported, and safe care:
โข Early in specialist GP training, registrars receive extra support and often discuss cases with senior doctors - itโs normal to have senior GP called in during consult at times to discuss the case and plan best management plan for you.
โข As they gain experience, they work more independently, while still having support readily available
โข Your care is always overseen by experienced GPs
๐ก Why this is good for our patients

๐ฑ Great doctors never stop learning
