A huge congratulations to one of our amazing administration assistants, Fiona! 🌟

Fiona just returned from the Australian Masters Indoor Rowing Championships in Canberra, where she absolutely smashed it — walking away with FOUR silver medals in the 100m, 500m, 1000m, and 1-minute max distance events! 💪🥈

🌟 OT Week 2025 – Let’s Celebrate the Power of Occupational Therapy! 🌟

It’s OT Week 2025 and here at Extend, we are proud to shine a spotlight on the life-changing role of occupational therapists and the fantastic work they do every day.

This year’s theme – “Right Support, Right Time” – Prevention & Early Intervention – reminds us that when people are supported early, outcomes are better, independence is stronger, and communities can thrive.

Whether it’s a child gaining confidence in school, a person returning safely home after illness, or an older adult maintaining independence in daily life: occupational therapy is about enabling meaningful participation and living life to the fullest.

Falls are the leading cause of injury among older adults, and the risk increases with age. A fall can lead to reduced mobility, loss of confidence, and a lower quality of life — but the good news is, many falls are preventable!

With a few practical changes at home and by staying active, you can reduce your risk of falling and feel more confident in your daily activities.

1:1 balance sessions with Eva, our OT, are available for anyone wanting personalised support to improve strength, stability, and confidence.

With football and netball season finishing up for the year the pre-season begins. The pre-season is where you build the player you will be next year. If you want to be faster, fitter, and stronger, you need to follow a structured off-season plan to achieve these goals.

If you finished the season with niggling injuries now is the time to get these assessed and treated so they aren’t holding you back when next season comes around.

This week is women’s health week!

Women’s health week is a dedicated week that focuses on the health and wellbeing of women and girls in Australia. We know that exercise is a powerful way to keep individuals healthy and strong. Our female only strength classes are designed for those navigating the physical changes of menopause and seeking to improve their bone health, strength, and overall well-being. Focused on combating the effects of osteoporosis, hormonal shifts, and muscle loss, the class blends strength training, functional movement, and mindful exercises to empower women during this transformative phase of life.



We hope to build a community and provide a supportive environment for women to build lasting strength, improve bone health, and nurture their bodies during this important time.

Last Friday, our team spent the day in a fantastic professional development session with Hayley! 🙌 It was a great mix of team-building activities, reflection, and growth (with plenty of laughs along the way). Big thanks to Hayley for guiding us through a productive and energising day!!
