๐ŸŒŸ Festive Wellbeing Tip #2: Seek Support Early

As we head into the busy Christmas period, itโ€™s completely OK to check in with yourself and notice how youโ€™re feeling. If things are starting to feel heavy, you donโ€™t have to wait until youโ€™re overwhelmed, reaching out early can make a big difference.

Whether itโ€™s talking to someone you trust, catching up with a friend, or connecting with a support service, taking that first step is a strong and positive way to look after yourself.

You are not alone, and support is available. ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒŸ Festive Wellbeing Tip #1: Keep It Simple

The Christmas season can fill up quickly with events, expectations and pressure to do it all. But itโ€™s completely OK to slow things down and focus on what feels manageable for you and your family.

Keeping it simple might mean saying no to an event, choosing a low-key celebration, or letting go of traditions that feel more stressful than joyful. Protecting your energy isnโ€™t selfish, itโ€™s an important part of looking after your mental health

Throughout the 16 days of Activism, we honour the women whose lives have been tragically lost to violence. Their stories stay with us, and their absence drives our continued commitment to change.

As we stand together for the 16 Days of Activism, we reaffirm our pledge to speak up, support one another, and work towards a future where all women can live free from violence.

A heartfelt thank you to Wagga Womenโ€™s Health Centre for hosting the opening vigil on Tuesday. The service was heavy, moving, and deeply thought-provoking. We also extend our gratitude to their dedicated staff, whose tireless work makes a difference every day, not just during these 16 days, but throughout the year.

Together, we can and must do better.

Take a Walk

Take a walk and let the world
remind you how to breathe,
in the rustle of the gum trees,
in the sunlight on the leaves.

Notice beauty in the small things,
the ones we often miss,
a friendly smile, a quiet breeze,
lifeโ€™s simple, gentle bliss.

Step by step, the day grows lighter,
your mind a little clearer too.
Thereโ€™s magic in the everyday,
and itโ€™s waiting just for you.
