Star of the Sea visit the Yorke Peninsula 2025 Field Days in Paskeville. We were given a special pass to drive in up close and personal with the machinery, exhibitions and displays. We met up with our local Trishaw team and were able to met up with residents families. We’re excited to share some fantastic news. Yesterday, SOTS became the very first aged care provider in the country to submit prescriptions via the new National Prescription Delivery Service. What an incredible milestone, and a huge congratulations to the SOTS team and our wonderful Pharmacist at Newberrys Chemist and the wonderful GPs at Owen Terrace Medical Centre and Kadina Medical for their dedication, planning and education that made this possible!!!

Today is Vietnam Veterans Day, a day where we pause and reflect on the bravery, teamwork and endurance that Australians displayed throughout the war. Thank you for the wonderful people at NYP quilters who made this amazing quilt for display in honour of those veterans who:
Lost their lives during battle
Returned home wounded, ill or injured
Lost their lives in the years since they returned
Still carry the physical and emotional scars of their service
We also pause to reflect on the impact of service on veterans families.

The Copper Coast Show is on this weekend in Kadina! Kadina Carpet court are running a competition for anyone in the area to create a portrait of a deserving volunteer. 2 of our Staff members Sonya & Virginia both completed a portriat of a volunteer. Sonyas portraits is of our new pastoral carer Kathrine and Virginias portriat is of Heather Johnson. One of our longest standing volunteers of over 25 years. If you attend the show or are in Kadina over the next couple of days please head in and vote for one of our portraits! (Ours are the 2 frames at the front.. the brown frame & white frame)
