There’s something quietly satisfying about what we get to do every day in clinic. (Fun fact: Bianca our wellness coordinator and naturopath student has a background in botany 🌵🌱🌿🌴🪴💐🌷)

Herbal medicine is one of the oldest forms of medicine in the world, but it’s still used widely today. Every tonic we pour is formulated with a specific person in mind - their history, their symptoms, their body, their goals. Two are rarely the same.
This also reflects what functional medicine and naturopathy look like in practice - never a one-size-fits-all, but something specific and individualised, built around your body’s needs.

Something we hear constantly in clinic: “I’ve tried everything and still have bloating/constipation/cramps/IBS.” And we believe you. The elimination diets, the supplements, the cutting things out and hoping for the best. It’s exhausting, and it makes sense that you’re tired of it.

The missing piece is almost never more trial and error. It’s more about understanding. Knowing what your gut is actually doing, why it’s reacting the way it is, and what your individual body needs - not what worked for someone else on the internet.

Our Decoding Your Gut program was built to empower you with the knowledge and guidance to start you off on the right foot. A 21-day program grounded in the functional medicine principles we use in clinical practice every day, designed to give you real answers and a path forward that’s actually tailored to you.
Doors open this Monday 11th May, and enrolment closes Monday 18th May.
There are two tiers available depending on the level of support you’re looking for — swipe through for everything you need to know.

Not ready to commit yet? Comment DECODE below and we’ll send you our free Gut Wellness Guide straight to your inbox so you can get a feel for what we’re about first. 💚

I didn’t start Wellness Vision because I wanted to build a business. I started it because I kept sitting across from people who had spent years searching for answers and kept being sent home without them.
Twenty-three years in clinical practice. Thousands of patients. And the thread that runs through almost every person who finds their way to us is the same: they’ve been told their results are normal, their symptoms are stress, or that there’s not much more to be done. And they know deep down, that isn’t the end of story.

Functional medicine asks different questions. It looks at the whole person, how all systems interact, what the root cause of chronic illness actually is rather than what label fits the symptom. Expanding the clinic has been one of the things I’m proudest of. Watching what happens when multiple practitioners work that way together, collaborating, invested in the same outcomes for every client, it’s what I always hoped this place could be. We’re growing, and there’s a lot more to come!

If you’ve been looking for care that actually takes the time to find answers, I’d love for you to book a free discovery call with us. It’s a real conversation, no pressure, just a chance to talk about what’s been going on and whether we’re the right fit for you. The link to book is in our bio - we’d love to meet you. 🌿

Most gut health conversations start with food. What you’re eating, what you’re avoiding, what you should swap out or add in. And yes, all of that matters. But one of the most common things we see in clinic — and one of the most overlooked — has nothing to do with any of that.

It’s how fast you’re eating.

When you eat quickly, your body hasn’t had time to prepare digestively. Stomach acid and enzyme production are lower than they need to be, you’re swallowing more air than you realise, food arrives in your gut poorly broken down, and your fullness signals don’t catch up until you’re already well past the point of comfort. For a lot of people, this is at least part of the explanation behind bloating, cramping, and digestive unpredictability that they’ve been blaming on specific foods for years!

The good news is that this is one of the most accessible things to shift. No elimination required. Swipe through for the full breakdown and some practical changes you can start with today.

And - if your gut has been giving you grief for a while and you’re ready to actually understand what’s going on, we’re so excited about our upcoming 21-day online program, Decoding Your Gut!

Cutting out gluten didn’t fix it. The probiotics didn’t fix it. The elimination diet didn’t fix it. And there’s a very specific clinical reason why - which is exactly what we’re addressing in this program.

What if your bloating, fatigue and brain fog all have the same root cause?

For most people with gut symptoms, the answer is yes — and that root cause has a name, an investigation pathway, and a real solution. It just hasn’t been found yet because nobody has looked in the right places.

Your gut doesn’t operate in isolation, it influences your energy, your mood, your skin, your hormones, your immune system and your cognitive function simultaneously. Which means when something goes wrong in the gut, the effects rarely stay there. They travel. And they show up as the collection of seemingly unrelated symptoms that so many people spend years trying to manage individually without ever getting to the bottom of.

Decoding Your Gut is our 21-day online program built on the functional medicine principles we use in clinical practice every day. Not a restrictive diet plan, not an expensive supplement protocol. A solid clinical education in what’s actually driving your gut symptoms and what lasting gut health really looks like.

Your gut symptoms are not random. They are signals — and each one is pointing to something specific. Our FREE Gut Wellness Guide gives you the clinical language to finally understand what yours are telling you.

The Gut Wellness Guide is a free resource created by our practitioners, who have a combined 30+ years of clinical experience. It’s designed specifically for anyone who has been living with gut symptoms and hasn’t been able to get a clear answer about what’s actually driving them.

Inside you’ll find a symptom-to-system map that connects what you’re experiencing to the gut system most likely involved — and what functional medicine investigates behind each one. Whether it’s bloating, fatigue, brain fog, skin issues, food reactions, or mood changes — every symptom has a biological explanation. This guide gives you the starting point for finding yours.

And it’s completely free. 🌿

Your bloating comes and goes - and you can’t figure out why the same food causes it some days and not others. Here is the clinical explanation nobody has given you yet.

Inconsistent bloating is rarely about the food itself. It’s about the state your gut is in when it receives the food - and that state changes day to day based on factors most people never consider.

What changes your gut environment day to day?

😰 Your stress levels - cortisol directly affects gut motility and microbiome composition
😴 Your sleep quality - the gut does significant repair work overnight and poor sleep interrupts that process
🌡️ Your hormones - which is why bloating is so commonly worse in the second half of your cycle
🍽️ Your cumulative dietary load - your gut can compensate up to a point, and then it can’t

This is also why elimination diets that remove individual foods so often produce inconsistent results. You’re removing one variable from a system with multiple drivers.

The question that actually matters is NOT - what food is causing this?

It’s - WHY has my gut become reactive at all?

That question has a real, investigable, addressable answer. And finding it is exactly what functional medicine is designed to do. 🌿

The connection between stress and gut symptoms is not psychological — it is physiological, measurable, and one of the most well-documented relationships in gastroenterology research.

Gut healing protocols that only address food are incomplete. Real, lasting gut healing requires addressing the nervous system, restoring the microbiome, repairing the gut lining, and building the lifestyle foundations that keep cortisol regulated - simultaneously and in the right order.

Last Saturday something really special happened in a gym in Cardiff - and we can’t stop thinking about it.

A room full of women showed up for themselves and chose to invest two hours into understanding their bodies, building real strength, and doing something significant for their long-term health.

The energy was extraordinary. And watching women leave that room feeling stronger, more informed, and more capable than when they walked in - that is exactly why we built Fitter After 40. 🌿

To every woman who joined us on Saturday - thank you! You showed up, you worked hard, and you gave this morning everything it needed to be what it was. We’re so proud of every single one of you.

And to everyone who missed this round, we hear you. The messages have been coming in all weekend and we want you to know that Fitter After 40 is coming back very soon.

The next round will include everything from this one - four weeks of online modules, the live practical session, the webinar and Q&A with Jasmin and Ana, and all recordings so you never miss a thing - built entirely around the body you have right now, in perimenopause and beyond.

💬 Comment FITTER below and you’ll be added to our waitlist when doors open for the next round 🌿

Here’s what actually happens to your body in perimenopause that the scales will never show you ➡️

As oestrogen declines, your body composition begins shifting - muscle mass decreasing, fat redistributing, cellular hydration changing. You can be losing lean muscle and gaining visceral fat simultaneously while the number on the scales stays completely static. Nothing appears to be changing. But metabolically, everything is.

This is why we use QuadScan testing at Wellness Vision — a hospital-grade body composition analyser that measures what standard assessments consistently miss.

In less than 5 minutes, with four small electrodes, the QuadScan gives us a precise clinical picture of:

💪 Your muscle mass - and whether it’s being preserved or declining
📊 Your body fat percentage - and where it’s distributed
💧 Your cellular hydration status - a key marker of metabolic function
⚡ Your phase angle - one of the most significant indicators of cellular health and biological age available in clinical practice

That phase angle number is the one most people have never heard of - and the one that tells us the most. It shows us how well your cells are actually functioning at an energy level. Whether your body is resilient or running on reserves it doesn’t have.

For women in perimenopause and menopause this level of detail changes everything about how we build your treatment plan. We’re not responding to a number on a scale. We’re responding to what your body is actually doing - measured precisely, tracked over time, and used to build a plan that works for the body you have right now.

QuadScan testing is included in every in-person initial consultation at Wellness Vision. For clients in our 3 and 6-month programs we repeat it throughout your program so we can see exactly how your body is responding to treatment.

💾 Save this if you’ve ever stepped on the scales, seen no change, and felt like you were failing.
