Speaking your truth doesn’t mean shouting.

Struggling to regulate your emotions? You’re not alone. 🌱

Emotional regulation can be challenging, and it’s often not just about ā€œkeeping it together.ā€ There are many psychological factors that can make it tough to manage how we feel. Here’s why:

Early Life Experiences 🧸: Childhood environments shape how we process and express emotions. Negative or neglectful experiences can leave us feeling overwhelmed by our feelings later in life.

Attachment Styles šŸ’ž: Our early bonds with caregivers influence how we manage emotions. Insecure attachments can make emotional regulation harder as adults.

Cognitive Patterns 🧠: Negative thought patterns like catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking can make emotions feel intense or unmanageable.

Mental Health šŸ§‘ā€āš•ļø: Conditions like anxiety, depression, or PTSD can make it difficult to cope with emotions. When you’re struggling with mental health, it can feel like emotions are controlling you.

Lack of Skills or Awareness šŸ”: Not everyone learns how to recognise or regulate their emotions effectively. Without these tools, it can be tough to stay calm in the face of strong feelings.

Neurobiology 🧬: Your brain’s wiring also plays a role. Differences in areas of the brain, like the amygdala and prefrontal cortex, can make it harder to control emotional responses.

Stress & Life Events šŸŒŖļø: Chronic stress or overwhelming life events can push us to our emotional limits, making regulation more difficult.

It’s important to remember that emotional regulation is a skill—and like any skill, it can be developed over time. Therapy, mindfulness, and self-awareness can help you learn healthier ways to cope with emotions.

Get back into it.

Whatever it is; the gym, your art, your studies, that book you haven’t finished, that project you shelved. Whatever you weren’t ready for then; you’re ready for now.

The Universe always replaces what exits your life with something bigger and better. Don’t be stuck holding onto the past or resisting change.

Welcome new energy. Let go of what needs to be removed. There’s great blessings in surrendering and allowing.

Understand the difference between patience and wasting your time…then take action.

The energy for 2025 is:

Remembering that being healthy is much more than what you eat and how much you exercise. It’s also about being around good people, giving love to others, having joy, being your authentic self, embracing gratitude, and maintaining your personal growth.
