Today is our “Happy Box” workshop!
I have lots of fun craft supplies ready to inspire our imaginations to create our very own happy boxes for those moments we need some quiet time to self-regulate or just have some time out! I can’t wait to see what the children create!

Yesterday I ran another beautiful art therapy group with my aged care residents.
It is such a priveledge to talk to and create art with these lovely people.
This week we began a special project which will become an amazing group art work.

New focus group: Teenage Girls
Date: 21st October
Time: 1pm-3pm
Location: Wangi
Theme: 🎨Create Connect Care🎨

This will be the first of regular groups which will invite teenage girls to get together, create lovely art and take some time out for self-care.
The group will then run on a monthly basis and girls are invited to come along when they can and enjoy a special group just for them.
Group numbers are limited to 10 girls

🎨children’s holiday workshop🎨
Date: Wednesday 4th October
Time: 10am to midday
Theme: Creativity and Fun
During this workshop the children will be given a large range of materials and art supplies to create anything they want! They will be able to let their creative imaginations run wild!

😀Discussion: my special qualities/interests that people can see ie sport, hobbies etc and the qualities I have on the inside ie resilience , understanding etc
😀Decorating the box inside and outside linked to your special qualities and interests
😀Discussion: when can my box help me and how? what will I keep in my box to help me when I need it?

Today I had the absolute privilege to facilitate a self- care art therapy group for Mum’s and bubs at Toronto swim centre.
The Mum’s and bubs engaged in a 2 hour get together after a swimming lesson, and I shared some self- care tips and invited Mums to take some time out creatively.
It was a wonderful session and thank you to all the Mum’s for your participation!
