When your a mobile OT in the community and your hotspot isn’t connecting so you can’t do your notes or work 🫠 thankfully google has me practicing my visual motor skills while I wait for the internet to connect🤣

Mealtimes can be so tricky! I have a fussy eater, he can taste if the butter is a different brand 🤦🏻‍♀️ and would rather starve then eat something that he doesn’t like 😭 so sometimes meals can be different for each of my kids because I’m more about them eating then it being an experience that triggers everyone’s anxiety 🫠 tonight I cooked sausages and curry sauce seperate so that my daughter and I got a meal we wanted to eat and so did my son. I just added the sausages into the sauce at the end. I also give them choice of rice with the sauce or separate. Given choices, gives a sense of control and this reduces the anxiety around the meal 🙌🏻

It has been such a wonderful year supporting our wonderful kiddos and families we can’t wait to see you all again in the new year! We will all be taking a break from the 20th of December to the 4th of January 2026 🎄🥰

I had the best time learning at the PDA Australia conference yesterday, connecting with wonderful therapist, learning from parents of PDA chrildren and other therapist as well as picking out some great new books to add to our work library. Oh and I also got Ollie the octopus to add to the work resources because he’s so cute and calming 🥰

Last Friday we said goodbye to our wonderful fourth year OT student Sarah! It’s such a joy to support other’s in their learning. And i’m so lucky to be supporting such wonderful families that allow OT students to come along on their child’s journey. So a big thankyou to my families for supporting Sarah on her OT journey 🩷
