About Kohra

My personal development journey started at age 19 with my first Kinesiology session. This ignited my lifelong passion for personal growth, and enabled me to heal from past traumas and overcome limiting belief systems. With a lifetime spent exploring different careers, travelling the world and creating a family, these experiences have provided me with a rich and diverse life experience.

I believe that life presents us with challenges on many levels, which can be an opportunity to build our character, & discover & align with our true purpose. When we are not in alignment with our purpose, we can accumulate stress through traumas & negative experiences. This creates blockages which are stored in our subconscious memory and energy systems, & can lead to physical ill health, emotional upset and mental angst.

My personal growth journey has resulted in a commitment to help others overcome their personal health issues. I am passionate about facilitating positive change and helping others to discover and create their true potential with the healing powers of Sound & Vibration.

I hold a Diploma in Energetic Kinesiology, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Functional Kinesiology. During my 3 years of study in Kinesiology I experienced my first Gong session – I was mesmerized by the mysterious sounds of the Gong and knew I had to learn about this powerful instrument! I spent 8 months learning the basics of Gong playing at Echoes Satori, then deepened my learning with Advanced Gong Therapy Practitioner training with Gong Master Mehtab Benton. This led to further studies to complete a Diploma in Integral Group Sound Healing with the Academy of Sound Healing.

What is Sound Healing?

Sound healing is based on the idea that illness or disease is characterized by blockages in our energy channels. When there is a blockage, the organ in question cannot vibrate at a healthy frequency and can develop physical symptoms or illness. Sound vibration can open, clear and recharge the whole body, mind and spirit, breaking up, dissolving and releasing blockages, improving the symptoms in our physical, mental and emotional bodies.

Sound Healing occurs on a cellular level, rippling out to impact the physical, mental, emotional & spiritual layers as well. We take in sound not only through our ears, but through our whole body, ingesting it through skin and bone conduction. It is non-invasive, gentle, yet very powerful and transformational.
