The Wellness Workshop

The Wellness Workshop Employee wellbeing programs & workshops that foster organisational productivity & performance.

The Wellness Workshop was originally founded as a welcoming space to help sufferers of mental illness and a range of lifestyle issues access support services such as Dietetics & Nutrition, Intuitive Eating, Exercise Physiology, Wellness Coaching and Meditation. Today, we are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Australians through workplace wellbeing programs as well as in-person and virtual workshops for a range of organisations including the private and public sector, schools and sporting clubs. We align with the Health At Every Size (HAES) philosophy which focuses on improving overall health behaviours for all individuals regardless of their size or shape. Our programs are designed in line with evidence based approaches by a range of qualified practitioners. We are not social media influencers or sponsored by any affiliate companies meaning you get real, measurable, effective strategies that are tailored to your organisation.

Healthy workload balance isn’t about reducing expectations — it’s about clarity, predictability and support. In high-pressure periods, effective teams build psychological safety through transparent communication, realistic deadlines and structured prioritisation. Yes, workload can be a psychosocial hazard or risk, specifically in the form of both high and low job demands that can cause psychological or physical harm if not managed properly. Excessive workloads, or "role overload," are a common hazard that can lead to stress, as can "role underload" (low workloads), which may cause a lack of motivation or engagement. The risk increases when high or low demands are prolonged, severe, or combined with other hazards like poor support or a lack of control.

The Week That Was: Tara kicked off the week with a quarterly Virtual Mindfulness Class for Virbac, followed by close to 100 employees from Titles Queensland joining Tamblyn for an online session. We joined Port of Melbourne for a half-day Manager & Leadership Skills Training led by Tanya, our conversation, culture and conflict specialist. While Melani enjoyed a highly interactive session with the GPT Group for Self-Awareness - a 1 hour seminar aimed at enhancing team collaboration, bonding and empathy. Tara finished things off with her second class for Bega Group, with many of the team excited to have her back after a very successful first session.
