🌿 Thursday Connection – Finding Answers for My Health 🌿

I remember when I was first diagnosed with 7q11.23 duplication syndrome, just before my 18th birthday. There wasn’t much information about it, so my family and I had to research and find ways to support me.

This condition affects speech, muscle tone, digestion, anxiety, and even artery health. It was overwhelming, but it also sparked a curiosity in me — I wanted to understand my body, health better and prevent any risk.

That curiosity led me to a Functional Nutrition Course, where I met my mentor and health coach. This experience didn’t just teach me about nutrition—it ignited my passion for wellbeing, fermented foods, and living optimally despite my condition.

My mentor suggested I do DNA and microbiome testing to really understand what was going on. The results were life-changing:
- I’m gluten intolerant and have the celiac disease gene, which explained why bread made me feel unwell and bloated.
- My body struggles to hold onto certain minerals.

Knowing this allowed me to make targeted changes — like going gluten-free, taking extra colloidal minerals, healing my gut microbiome, and making a plan that suits my DNA. Over time, I noticed a real difference — my digestion improved, I felt better inside and out, and my body started holding minerals more efficiently.

So far, I have no heart problems, I no longer experience stomach pain or digestive issues, my anxiety has reduced, and I’m truly enjoying living this life.

This was the start of my journey toward living optimally, and I haven’t looked back since! 🌱
