COVID UPDATE FOR VISITORS

Thankfully visiting restrictions are continuing to ease, however when visiting loved ones at Bethel you are still required to make an appointment (phone, online or email).

Visitors are also required to wear a mask, answer a health questionnaire, have their temperature checked and observe all hand sanitation protocols. It’s a very quick process and keeps everyone safe.

We hope to see you visiting soon!

GOOD NEWS for VISITING YOUR LOVED ONES!

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 in the Northern Beaches and Greater Sydney Regions saw visitor access restricted to all NSW Aged Care Facilities. Happily, yesterday the advice from the NSW Chief Health Officer was updated, and for all Hunter Valley Care and ELSS Facilities this means that VISITS ARE ONCE AGAIN POSSIBLE and in certain circumstances RESIDENTS CAN GO ON OUTINGS.

*PLEASE NOTE that all visits and outings must still comply with stringent health measures. Call your facility for details BEFORE visiting.

Should you have any questions in regards to the interventions we have in place, or how they relate to your individual resident and circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss them further.

Our gorgeous Bethel residents recently joined in with the whole of Australia to celebrate "The Big Christmas Sing-a-long". They sang with over 22,000 people and chatted to over 900 people! Our community absolutely loved the 2-hour concert and hope to do it again next year.

For all family and friends: The Industry Code for Visiting Residential Aged Care Homes during COVID-19 has been updated (20 November 2020).

It's worth a read and will explain the restrictions and measure our own ACF's have put in place in preparation for the coming festive season for the safety of all.

The Code creates a nationally consistent approach that ensures residents can receive visitors while minimising the risk of spreading COVID-19, and was released by 13 aged care peak bodies and consumer advocacy organisations with industry and public consultation.
