Habits For Happiness

1. Thank someone you normally would not thank.
Who do you normally not thank? Perhaps it's someone who is providing a service for which you have paid, and you don't feel the need to express gratitude. Go ahead, say it. Instead of just telling your sweetheart "I love you," express gratitude for something you usually take for granted. Thank a stranger for wearing a brightly colored dress that made your day! It takes 15 seconds, but the impact lasts much longer.

2. Honor yourself for something you did today that reflects the best of who you are.
Normally, we spend the day amassing evidence of our failures while ignoring our inner achievements. "I should not have done that." I should not have said that. "I should not have eaten that." This is an extremely unloving thing to do. "Honor yourself for doing something that reflects your best self."I was about to be sarcastic with someone, but instead I took a breath and said, 'I understand how stressful this has been.'" "I spotted a woman dropping a shopping list on the floor of the store, so I picked it up and handed it to her." "I was stuck in traffic and instead of swearing, I used the time to listen to an uplifting recorded lecture."

3. Forgive yourself for something you did today that reflects less than the best of who you are.
Every day, we do things we regret or realize we could have done better. Again, rather than criticizing or punishing yourself, take note of what you want to change. Hold the notion of whatever you're dissatisfied about and intend to wash it away with forgiveness.

4. Feel compassion for someone you would normally judge.
During a typical day, you will inevitably encounter people who annoy, irritate or anger you: the person driving too slowly in front of you, the less-than-articulate customer service representative on the phone, the grumpy co-worker. Just for one moment, try to find a compassionate place from which to view them. Remember that you can have compassion for someone while disagreeing with what they did. Simply think: "I apologize for your unhappiness. "May you find peace." Simply thinking this thought can instantly shift your energy to one of peace and love.

5. See something you would normally take for granted as miraculous.
There are a million everyday wonders that we overlook because we are not paying attention. Choose just one and enjoy it for the incredible wonder that it is. Allow 30 seconds to emotionally immerse yourself in it. Notice the beauty of the tall, graceful tree outside your window; appreciate the fact that your hand can move if you simply think, "Move"; watch a bird take flight and marvel at its freedom; walk through the supermarket and feel amazement at the abundance of food gathered there for you. You can raise your consciousness by focusing on the magnificent buried within the commonplace.

LEAVE PEOPLE WHO DON'T VIBRATE WITH YOU šŸ›ø
It is not an attitude of arrogance or pride, but of congruence, you will continue to love them but with another perspective, from another level of compression, understanding and awareness.
It's the hardest thing you'll ever have to do in your life, and it's also going to be the most important thing: stop being attached to those who don't vibrate with you anymore.
I know your instinct is to do whatever you can to earn the good thanks from everyone you can, but it's also the impulse that will steal your time, your energy, and your sanity.
The truth is, you are not for everyone, and everyone is not for you. That's what makes it so special when you meet the few people you have a genuine friendship, love or relationship with: you'll know how precious it is because you've experienced what it isn't.
The most precious and important thing you have in your life is your energy. It's not your time that's limited, it's your energy.
What you give each day is what will create more and more in your life. What you give your time to is what will define your existence.
When you realize this, you will begin to understand why you are so anxious when you spend time with people who don't contribute to you, in jobs or places, cities that don't suit you.
You will begin to realize that the most important thing you can do for your life, for yourself, and for everyone you know is to protect your energy more fiercely than anything else.
You are the most important thing in your life remember this well.

Are You An Empath?

Understanding and being able to relate to the feelings of others is a prerequisite for empathy. When you’re highly attuned to this form of perception, you may be what’s referred to as an empath.

Being able to understand why someone feels the way they feel, and to know what it’s like to feel that way yourself, is what it means to have empathy.

Those who are extremely perceptive to other people's affective, or emotional, states are known as empaths.

Signs of an empath
Despite the lack of a clinically accepted set of criteria to identify empaths, individuals with high empathy may:
feel drained when exposed to intense emotions
avoid emotionally-impactful media
naturally, be the person everyone confides in
be compelled to practice compassion in everyday life
have strong, often correct, intuition
dislike crowds, regularly feel burned out
experience emotions without knowing why
express deep emotion, like tears, in response to someone else’s story.

Although empaths are sensitive to emotions and moods, they can also experience other types of enhanced perception in tandem with their empathy.

For example, having sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) makes you a highly sensitive person (HSP) who is very perceptive to social and environmental cues, including emotions.
In this sense, not all empaths are HSPs, but an HSP can be an empath.

Shadow Work

We all have parts about our personality that we tend to suppress. People also refer to it as the 'Shadow-self'. It's the part where our negative beliefs about ourselves and others dwell.

When we do 'Shadow Work', we shine a light on these dark parts of our being. And while this can be a very difficult and painful practice, exposing and accepting them will lead to enormous personal growth.

Doing shadow work allows us to deal with and overcome past trauma. It can help you realize the source of your negative beliefs and your worst habits. Surface memories you had long forgotten or have been suppressing, and confront them.

Our emotions are not something that should rule us. We should aim to live a more balanced life. Only by accepting our emotions as they arise, are we able to let them go.
We don't need to react to our anger or hurt the way we are used to.

Different ways to deal with Energy āš”ļø

1. Reflect think about what you are feeling and why it is triggering you is it valid ?
Is it your energy or their projection onto you of their feelings and emotions ?
Is it yours to carry and hold on too ?

2. You can absorb the energy that is sent your way and let it change your vibration, take it on and let it fester. We have all been victims to this in our lifetime for different reasons and circumstances.

3. To transmute energy -
Techniques such as deep breathing like -
Breath-work methods, various meditation techniques , listening to high frequency music, writing down your emotions or taking to a friend or sitting near water/connecting with nature walking in the bush/forest scenic area.
Can help clear negative energy and restore balance.
By having energetic boundaries:
Boundaries are essential for protecting your energy and nervous system in toxic environments. Clearly communicate your boundaries with people and assertively uphold them to protect your peace.

RESTING IS DOING

If only we could see the power in rest.
If only we could attach to it, the worth it so deserves.
If only we could open our minds to the idea, that everything in nature has its time to rise and its time to descend.
That each of these acts is just a important as the other.
And that is exactly as it must be.
If only we could see the courage it takes to lay aside the worries, the fears and the comparison, just for a few hours, to let the mind, spirit and body come together again.
Doing the one thing they all require so much… nothing.
If only we could see the power in rest.
Because resting is very much doing.
