Alpha lipoic acid is honestly one of those quiet achiever nutrients that deserves way more attention than it gets… and the research behind it is seriously impressive 🔬✨

We’re talking about a compound that works as a powerful antioxidant in BOTH water and fat, meaning it can support virtually every cell in the body. That alone is pretty incredible—but it gets better…

The research shows alpha lipoic acid plays a role in:
✔️ Supporting healthy blood sugar balance
✔️ Reducing inflammation
✔️ Protecting the nervous system
✔️ Supporting brain health and cognitive function
✔️ Assisting detoxification pathways
✔️ Promoting healthy ageing

…and that’s just scratching the surface.

But one area that’s getting a lot of attention is men’s exercise performance and recovery 💪

Studies suggest alpha lipoic acid can:
✨ Help reduce oxidative stress created during intense exercise
✨ Support faster muscle recovery
✨ Improve cellular energy production (hello mitochondria 🔥)
✨ Potentially enhance endurance and reduce fatigue

Which means—less soreness, better recovery, and getting more out of your training.

For any man pushing himself physically (or honestly anyone wanting to age well and feel energised), this is a nutrient worth knowing about.

It’s not hype… it’s biochemistry meets real-world results.

✨ Nourish Your Joints with Homemade Bone Broth ✨

One of the most traditional healing foods… and for good reason.
Bone broth is rich in minerals, collagen, and amino acids that support joint health, gut health, immune function and overall vitality.

It’s simple, nourishing and incredibly versatile.

🥕 Ingredients
• 1kg beef bones OR 2 chicken carcasses + 500g extra chicken bones (wings, legs or neck) – organic if possible
• 1 onion
• 2 carrots
• 2 celery sticks
• 3 bay leaves
• 1 tsp peppercorns
• 2–3 garlic cloves
• 1–2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• Water

🍲 Method

1️⃣ If using fresh bones, roast them in the oven at 180°C for 30 minutes first (this adds amazing flavour). If using leftover roast bones, simply pop them straight into the pot.

2️⃣ Roughly chop the veggies and add to a large pot or slow cooker with the garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns and apple cider vinegar.

3️⃣ Add water to cover everything and bring to a boil.

4️⃣ Reduce to a gentle simmer and cook:
• Chicken: 12–24 hours
• Beef: 24–48 hours

Skim off any froth that rises to the top. You can top up with water if needed.

5️⃣ Once finished, cool and strain the broth. Season with a little sea salt.

6️⃣ Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

🌿 How to enjoy it
• Sip it warm as a healing tonic
• Add miso, ginger, herbs or shallots for extra flavour
• Use as a base for soups, curries and casseroles
• Cook grains like risotto in it for a nutrition boost

A beautiful, traditional way to support your body from the inside out.

💛 Have you tried making bone broth before?
