The Hunter, New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network has commissioned a new children’s mental health service with the aim of increasing access for vulnerable children.

The paediatric service will provide children up to the age of 12, with up to 12, face-to-face sessions of psychological counselling, by two providers across the Hunter, New England and Central Coast regions, Beam Health and Uniting NSW/ACT.

We are excited to share that Beam is delivering a new Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network funded pilot program providing free mental health supports for children under 12 years of age. The program is fully funded by the Commonwealth Government and Primary Health Network, meaning there are no out-of-pocket costs for eligible participants.

The Little Sparks program will be delivered by trained and experienced Psychologists and Mental Health Clinicians and is primarily aimed at providing access to those children who may otherwise not be able to access support due to financial hardship.
