This month we’re recognising Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
Ovarian cancer is often called the silent cancer because symptoms can be vague and easy to dismiss. There’s no routine screening test, which makes awareness so important.
Some key symptoms to look out for include persistent bloating, abdominal or pelvic pain, feeling full quickly, changes in bowel or bladder habits, and unexplained fatigue or weight changes. If these symptoms are new, ongoing, or worsening, it’s important to speak to your GP.
Ovarian cancer can affect women of all ages, not just older women. Early recognition and action can make a real difference.
We encourage everyone to listen to their body, trust their instincts, and seek medical advice if something doesn’t feel right. No concern is too small.
This month is about awareness, action, and unity, ensuring no woman is left behind.
