We are proud to recognise Liam Gordon, who has been awarded the Quambie Park Sustainable Initiative Award for his outstanding contribution to our Let’s Go Green program. 🌱✨

Liam’s thoughtful ideas have truly shaped our sustainability journey — especially his proposal to introduce a worm farm, which will be brought to life early next year! 🐛♻️

This exciting initiative will not only enrich our growing garden project but also strengthen our commitment to scrap separation and recycling, helping us reduce waste and care for our environment in meaningful, lasting ways.

During our AGM, Lucy Anzellino shared a heartfelt reflection on the remarkable journey of Quambie Park — a story built on humble beginnings, dedicated staff, and a legacy of care that continues to shape our community. 💙

From the early days, when Quambie Park was just an idea fuelled by a passion to support local seniors, to the thriving home of compassion and excellence it is today — our story has always been about people.
✨ People who believed in a vision.
✨ People who gave their time, their heart, and their skill.
✨ People — past and present — who continue to make Quambie Park a place of dignity, connection, and belonging.

Lucy spoke with deep pride about the pioneers who began this journey, the staff who have stood beside us through the years, and the community who has always believed in what we do.
Her husband, Vince Anzellino, past Chairman of Quambie Park, continued to carry that same spirit of leadership, dedication, and care — ensuring that our mission remained strong and our values remained at the heart of everything we do. 🌟

At our 40th Anniversary celebration, our CEO Sharon James shared a powerful reflection on what makes Quambie Park truly special. Her words reminded us that this milestone is not just about the passage of time — it’s about the impact of that time.

“Forty years of meals served with love.
Forty years of care given with patience.
Forty years of friendships forged in lounges and gardens.
Forty years of belonging.”

From humble beginnings built on a belief that every person deserves to age with dignity, respect, and a sense of belonging, Quambie Park has grown into a cornerstone of care and connection in our community.

Sharon reminded us that our story is one of experience, relationships, and age — the threads that weave together who we are.

Experience teaches us what truly matters.
Relationships nurture and define us.
Age gives us wisdom and perspective — the depth behind every year.

She also spoke of our core values — Courage and Belonging — the heart and soul of Quambie Park.
“Courage isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s the quiet act of showing up, of caring, of being seen.

Belonging isn’t about fitting in — it’s about being your authentic self and still being embraced.”
As Sharon beautifully shared, the true spirit of Quambie Park lives not in grand gestures, but in the ordinary, extraordinary moments — a carer staying late to comfort a resident, a gardener bringing in a rose for someone who can’t go outside, a volunteer listening with love.

As part of Quambie Park’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, we were deeply moved by the words of Mr Mike Walmsley, our dedicated Board Chair, who paid tribute to the extraordinary contribution of all those who have guided Quambie Park over the years. Mr Walmsley spoke with heartfelt gratitude about the unwavering commitment, compassion, and vision that have shaped Quambie Park into the caring community it is today — and the bright future that lies ahead.

Ms Sharon James, CEO, also shared a touching reflection, honouring the Board Members past and present for their steadfast leadership and support. In particular, she paid special tribute to Mr LeRoy, now retired, whose belief in people and community was instrumental in Quambie Park’s journey — and who, many years ago, interviewed her for the role that would become her life’s purpose.

Their words reminded us that Quambie Park’s strength has always come from the people behind it — those who give their time, heart, and wisdom to ensure our residents and community are cared for with dignity and respect.

🎤 A Night to Remember – Thanks to Meagan Godleman and her band! 🎶

What a celebration it was! Our 40th Anniversary was filled with laughter, joy, and music — thanks in no small part to our wonderful Master of Ceremonies, Meagan. 💛

With her signature mix of professionalism, humour, and warmth, Meagan kept the evening flowing seamlessly (and made sure no one dared touch the dessert table too early!). Her energy, kindness, and quick wit had the whole crowd smiling from start to finish. There truly wasn’t a moment she wasn’t dedicated to making the night shine.

And of course — the soundtrack to our celebration! The incredible family-trio brought their beautiful harmonies and infectious spirit, filling the room with music that perfectly matched the heart of the evening. 🎵

To Meagan — thank you for turning our milestone into magic. You made our 40th not just an anniversary, but a night we’ll be talking about for years to come! 💫
