HOME CARE SUPPORT WORKER – AGED AND DISABILITY (CASUAL)
I Assist You Individual Support is seeking enthusiastic Support Worker’s join our team of dedicated staff in providing quality support to our clients. I Assist You Individual Support provides service to people in Baw Baw Shire and Latrobe Valley regions. About the Position
I Assist You Individual Support delivers quality in-home care supporting our clients to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible.
A typical day assisting our clients to live their best lives may include:
• Domestic assistance
• Assisted shopping/client appointments
• Respite care
• Meal preparation
• Social support and community engagement
• Assistance with personal care
About You
• Genuine desire towards making a positive difference to people’s lives whilst promoting independence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and respectfully with a diverse range of people
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Be physically fit to undertake the requirements of the role
• Ability to access and use our rostering/client management application via smartphone
• Ability to travel across our service delivery area (Latrobe Valley and Baw Baw Shire)
• Willingness to complete further training as required
• Available for shifts across Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm (Some public holidays as required)
• Currently studying or completed a minimum Certificate III in a health-related industry (Individual Support, Aged Care Community Services, Nursing etc.), or willing to commence study.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain. Shifts cannot be allocated until First Aid and CPR training has been completed (must maintain a current CPR and First Aid Certificate during employment).
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check / Working With Children / NDIS Worker Screen Check prior to commencement
• Current Victorian Driver's License
• Reliable vehicle and full Comprehensive Car Insurance
• Right to live and work in Australia
• This position is classified as a Health Care Worker A. I Assist You Individual Support complies with infectious disease control and immunisation requirements under legislation. Evidence of immunisation history and any mandated government vaccinations e.g. COVID 19 and Influenza must be provided unless otherwise medically exempt (evidence of medical exemption must be supplied).
