On Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Fairview home, you can find Ian at the Corner Shop. You may recognise our all-star shopkeeper, bringing with him 20 years of retail experience from his time owning a menswear shop in Warragul, prior to moving to Fairview. Ian greets customers at our home with a smile and care, ensures the stock levels are monitored and the items are faced, among many other duties. This role is a valuable part of Ian's identity, bringing an increased sense of purpose and achievement with every shift at the shop.

From torches to toffees, Ian will always strive to provide the best service, with a smile of course. Thank you Ian for all that you do - you are so appreciated! 😀🍫🏷️

This morning residents enjoyed a game of The Price Is Right in the Morton Lounge. From perfumes to bananas, the task was to guess the price of the item, with the closest winning a point. Well done to Sheena who took home the (chocolatey) grand prize!

On Monday afternoon, residents were serenaded by the wonderful Michael, in an afternoon of love songs. With his dulcet tones and crooner-esque delivery, residents certainly embraced the nostalgic and romantic atmosphere. For those with their significant others present, glances were shared and hands were held, making for some very sweet moments indeed.

This morning Alf beat the heat by joining in on a group morning walk, embracing the morning air and the many benefits that accompany regular exercise. Alf was all smiles on the walk, stating:

"Walking around makes me feel good. It always makes me feel good. I have to keep moving. I love the beautiful colours - the flowers".

We're so glad you enjoyed your walk around the Village this morning, Alf. Thanks for being a wonderful part of the Fairview Family.

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, residents have been reminiscing about some special times in their lives that have touched their hearts, and those dear to them.

On Saturday residents will enjoy a viewing of the blockbuster hit Valentine’s Day, followed by a love song concert by Village resident Michael on Monday afternoon.

Love is a many splendoured thing! 🩷🌹💘

This afternoon the Men’s Group jumped on board the Fairview Bus for an outing to Poowong, enjoying a scenic country drive and plenty of conversation. Thank you Chris and volunteer Graham for a great afternoon! 🌳

Residents have been busy celebrating Australia over the last few days, complete with a delicious BBQ, a singalong, Trivia and plenty of special moments. 🦘🌭🇦🇺

Thank you to the clever and hard working Annie for making everyone a Fairy Bread afternoon tea today, with goodies generously donated by Bakers Delight. Congratulations also to Lyn for taking out the grand prize in Trivia with a score of 28 out of 30!
