All Abilities Gippsland provides respite care, day programs, and offers residential care options to people living with disability and their families.

All Abilities Gippsland was founded by sisters Allese Wills and Bianca Mitchell in 2020, with the opening of Lillico House, a residential and respite care home in Warragul. Allese and Bianca grew up around people living with disability, as well as family members who worked in the sector. These early experiences shaped their approach to their work today -- people living with disability should be encouraged to engage with and make decisions around their own activities and care, to the best of their abilities. They should be treated like people with their own wants, needs, preferences, and joys. At All Abilities Gippsland, we believe in creating a positive environment where we're open to new ideas and new approaches. Our services are client-led, and instead of relying on too much structure or a one-size-fits-all approach, we recognise that everyone has different needs, and different interests. Our service is proudly small, so that all of our clients can receive the care, attention, and engagement they need.

Our participants enjoyed heading out to a local Australia Day celebration in Warragul, soaking up the atmosphere, spending time together in the community… and of course enjoying a snag 🌭❤️

Summer fun at Warburton Water Park! 💧😄
On Friday we headed out to Warburton Water Park and had the best time cooling off in the sunshine.
Lots of water splashes, big smiles and plenty of laughs all round. A perfect way to enjoy a warm summer day together 🌞💙

Today we celebrated Edith’s baby shower 💕
Our participants absolutely loved being part of it, from choosing and giving Edith her gift to enjoying a lovely lunch out together.

It was a really special day full of smiles, connection and excitement as we celebrate this next chapter with Edith 💐

🍳 Alphabet Cooking Challenge – Letter A 🍎

To kick off the year, we’ve started an Alphabet Cooking Challenge, working our way through meals from A to Z.

Today A was for Arancini Balls and Apple Strudel 🤤
Participants were involved in preparing, cooking, and enjoying the food together, building independence, teamwork, and confidence in the kitchen.

A great way to start the challenge — we can’t wait to see what B brings!

🎄 Sunday Fun & Festive Feels 🎄

On Sunday, a couple of our participants got into the Christmas spirit by making their own festive bath bombs at a local supermarket that was hosting holiday activities.

There were lots of colours and great smells. It was a lovely way to get out in the community and join in on some seasonal fun.

That’s a wrap for our Day Services before the Christmas break 🎄

We finished the year the best way — celebrating together at the Robin Hood, joined by some of our participants’ parents and siblings. It was lovely to share the afternoon with families who are such an important part of our community.

Good food, great company and lots of smiles as we reflected on a big year.

We’re incredibly proud of our participants and grateful for our dedicated team and supportive families.
Wishing everyone a safe, happy and restful Christmas break. We’ll see you in the new year 💛
