Imagine your mum or dad living in an aged care home. They're unwell. Instead of getting care on the spot, they're loaded into an ambulance and sent to an emergency department - overwhelmed, disoriented, and far from familiar faces.

This happens over 200,000 times a year in Australia. And up to half of those trips may be completely preventable.

Here's what's frustrating: the technology to assess and treat residents on-site, without the ambulance trip, is already installed in more than 520 aged care homes across the country. It's been there for years.

The problem isn't the tech. It's that we're not using it.

We’re so sorry. We’ve been letting our existing customers have all the fun.

WA Digital Health Summit 2026 – Create Beyond ✨

It was an honour to deliver the opening address at the 'WA Digital Health Summit 2026 – Create Beyond' on behalf of Minister Stephen Dawson MLC this morning.

A fantastic opportunity to witness the momentum building across WA’s digital health landscape with Anja Nikolic, CEO, AIDH and Joshua Mundey, Managing Director and CEO Visionflex (📸).

The Summit brings together innovators, clinicians, and tech leaders from across Australia, committed to pushing beyond traditional boundaries to improve care and access for all.

Today’s presentations showed how digital innovation is already shaping better outcomes for communities, including those across the Bicton electorate, and I’m in awe of the vision and leadership driving this work. 🙌

It's already been a week since we kicked off Australian Healthcare Week 2026 and the Visionflex team are still buzzing!

It was a busy 2 days - countless conversations were had with people across the health sector either on the expo floor and in sessions. It reinforced the necessity, desire and energy this sector has for embracing virtual models of care to improve healthcare delivery.

👩‍⚕️ Workforce pressures remain front and centre. Health services are looking for practical ways to extend clinical capacity and support teams while still maintaining high standards of care.

🔑 Access and equity remain major challenges not only for rural, remote and underserved communities but all across Australia.

💻 We need to deploy technology with purpose. While digital innovation is accelerating and solutions are more powerful than ever, the focus remains on using technology to enhance patient care.

Events like this are a great reminder that while the challenges are complex, there’s a huge amount of collaboration happening across the system. 💪

Yesterday, the Wild Health Summit: New Models of Care Reshaping the Future of Hospitals brought together some of the brightest minds in healthcare innovation.

One message stood out: the future of hospitals extends beyond the walls. From virtual wards to home-based care, digital health is transforming how and where care happens.

Our team (Mike Harman, Abe Warwick, Chris Chiofalo and Jenae Carroll) had incredible conversations with industry leaders and innovators across government, health systems, community care, and digital health. We showcased how Visionflex technology enables clinicians to deliver connected, high-quality care wherever patients are.

🧠 Our key takeaways:
