It’s called a runner’s high for a reason 💅💅
What a beautiful little weekend in Melbourne for and ofc the best fuelling / refuelling options 🤤and catch ups
For a while in my younger years running was my whole personality, but after a few bumps in the road and some health challenges, I honestly didn’t think I’d be a ‘runner’ again. But here we are!!!
I’ll admit I got a tad emosh and the tears were
flowing, and for a few reasons:
Remembering that I actually enjoy running ! Which might sound silly, but being out there, challenging yourself but also seeing the views and feeling part of a community, I forgot what it felt like. Then add in health challenges on the journey and how frustrating of a journey it can be to set and achieve your own physical goals … I low key shocked myself 😂
Seeing people from all walks of life all there for the same reason - for the kids (and the sideline hype girls giving everything they had) 🥹
And the kids. Seeing the stories on people’s shirts, running for beautiful angels and for those still fighting which I’m sure has touched so many of us in some way. Knowing first-hand how a hospital like the Royal Children’s can completely hold you , it doesn’t escape me for a second how lucky I am. To be healthy. To do work where I can support people to reach their full health potential. That is never lost on me.
So grateful to support such an amazing cause 🤍 🪽
And to the girls who were there the whole way through - this is not the last you’ll see of us ❤️🔥❤️🔥 and my support crew 🥹🫶🏼
If you made it to the end - love you 😂🫶🏼
