It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our program participants, enjoying learning, fun and connecting to our community!
Last week our Community Inclusion group were lucky to visit Koroit and District Primary School, where participants learned about a variety of garden spaces including vegetable gardens, indigenous gardens, and even a bee garden. It was a great opportunity to listen, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of how different gardens are designed and cared for.
In the Life Skills program, participants have been developing their cooking skills, making hamburgers, spaghetti bolognese, and cooking sausages. These sessions are a great way to build independence, teamwork, and confidence in the kitchen 🍔🍝
Today, we were lucky to have a visit from Kel, Youth Resource Officer from Warrnambool Police Station, who spoke about staying safe in the community, an important and valuable session for everyone.
🌟 Work Experience Wins! 🌟
Our participants continue to thrive in their weekly work experience roles, building confidence, independence, and real world skills. The pride and excitement they bring each week says it all 💙
We’re so grateful to our supportive community and inclusive businesses for helping create meaningful opportunities for our participants 🙌
