Kristin Berger

Kristin Berger Lymphatics, Remedial & Emmett Therapy can improve your mobility. ease pain and discomfort. The EMMETT Technique is a unique form of body therapy.

Kristin is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with 29 years experience, a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia who specialises in Lymphatics, Remedial, Emmett Therapy, Myofascial Cupping and Ear Candling. It involves the application of light finger pressure at specific points, referred to as “Emmett points”. The points are not the same as traditional trigger points or acupressure points or any other points described in any other therapy. The pressure required to stimulate the EMMETT points does not need to be firm or painful. “No pain no gain” has no place in EMMETT Technique philosophy. The EMMETT Therapist is skilled in the art of applying:

- the right amount of pressure
- in the right direction
- for the right amount of time

It is this combination of elements, unique to each individual, which creates the desired physical change. Although often combined with other techniques, the EMMETT Technique is an efficient and effective therapy on its own.

Lymphatic congestions can happen for a number of reasons: poor diet, lack of movement, or even stress.
When they do, the body becomes inflamed and starts to accumulate toxins from the environment and from within the body itself. That accumulation leads to problems like swollen lymph nodes, skin rashes, and joint pain.
Inflammation is the body's way of telling us that something is wrong. It's an adaptive response to various stimuli, like pathogens or foreign bodies. The body responds by increasing blood flow to the area and releasing cytokines-proteins that cause swelling and pain.
The immune system recognises these stimuli as threats and sends white blood cells to attack them. This causes swelling, redness, and heat in the affected area. When this happens in your lymph nodes, it's called lymphadenopathy.
The best way to prevent this from happening is by keeping your lymphatic system flowing freely so that it can remove toxins from your body effectively. If you’d like to get your lymph moving , contact me for an Emmett Lymphatic Treatment.
