We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a sessional/casual basis as part of our Triage Team!

We are seeking an NP who can deliver safe, efficient and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will be an essential part of the UCC healthcare team, collaborating with other clinicians to assess and manage patients. The role also includes clinical leadership, education, research, and quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Provide advanced and autonomous patient care
✔️ Prescribe medications
✔️ Order and interpret pathology and radiology tests
✔️ Refer patients to GPs and other healthcare providers
✔️ Work collaboratively with the medical and nursing teams
✔️ Maintain accurate clinical records using Best Practice
✔️ Lead and support quality improvement initiatives
✔️ Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards

Essential Requirements:
▪AHPRA registration as an RN with Nurse Practitioner endorsement
▪ Advanced clinical experience in assessment and treatment of illness/injury
▪ Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
▪ Experience and understanding of quality improvement and evidence-based practice
▪ Current professional indemnity insurance

Desirable:
▪ Experience in general practice and/or emergency care
▪ Understanding of RACGP 5th Edition Standards
▪ Awareness of cultural factors affecting patient care

Relevant tertiary qualifications, 3+ years nursing experience, BLS & ACLS certification, triage certification, Police Check, WWCC, basic Microsoft Office skills, valid driver’s licence, and Australian work rights.
