As well as fun educational activities developing life skills one on one and in the community. I am the proud owner of By The Bay Disability Services. I have run the business for 2 years up in Hervey Bay QLD . I have recently moved back to Warrnambool that is my home town . I have worked in the Disabilty field for nine years now and loved everything about it. Over the nine years I have worked with all walks of life and gained many experiences that I will be able to use to help me to provide the support I need to for my clients. I will be providing support to people with disabilities and challenges in life to be able to achieve their goals and develop confidence and gain independence and involvement within the community while enjoying themselves. Working towards your goal in life and NDIS goals, I will be there step by step to help you to achieve them.

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻

Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.

This week, we’re celebrating the quiet heroes who walk beside those who need them most, our amazing LifeUnleashed assistance dogs.

They do so much more than just perform tasks. They bring comfort, confidence, connection, and for many people living with PTSD, chronic illness or disability, they completely change what’s possible day-to-day.

These dogs can retrieve dropped items, open doors, sense changes in blood sugar, or spot the early signs of a panic attack. But what they offer emotionally is just as powerful — calm, safety, and the confidence to step back into the world.

For veterans with PTSD, that can mean the difference between isolation and feeling part of their community again. For families and caregivers, it’s peace of mind. And in workplaces or social settings, their presence often changes the whole vibe, people soften, listen more, connect more.

Of course, behind every one of these dogs is a whole community: foster families, trainers, volunteers and supporters, all helping make this life-changing work possible.

So as we mark International Assistance Dog Week, we’re giving a huge shoutout to the dogs, and to the people whose lives they help transform. Thank you for being part of this journey.
