Connect Farmstays offers a unique and enriching experience in
a serene rural setting. It is a place where individuals can come
and engage in a variety of activities, connect with nature, and
immerse themselves in the beauty of farm life. Our farmstay
provides an inclusive environment that fosters a sense of
belonging and offers a range of tailored programs to meet the
diverse interests and needs of our guests. Our purpose-built facility at Connect Farmstays provides a
unique and inclusive space where individuals can form genuine
connections based on shared interests. Set against the backdrop
of a serene farm environment, our guests not only benefit from
the therapeutic aspects of farm life but also have access to a
dedicated games room. Whether it’s computer games, board
games or other activities, our aim is to offer an experience that
combines the joys of farm life with the stimulating and enjoyable
world of gaming.

**We Have Extra 1:1 Support Capacity Available – Connect Farmstays**

Due to some recent roster changes, one of our trained and experienced staff members now has room to take on additional individual support shifts.

We can support participants with:
• Community access and transport
• Shopping, appointments & social outings
• Life skills building (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, routines)
• Engagement in hobbies, fitness or personal interests
• In-home supports
• Short-term or ongoing hours

About our team member:
• Qualified & experienced disability support worker
• Police check & WWCC
• Trained in behaviour support, communication & safety
• Friendly, consistent and reliable

Service Area: Warrnambool & surrounding regions

Hello Everyone,

We are thrilled to announce that we've just welcomed not one, but two incredible new support workers to the Connect Farmstays team!

Originally, we planned to bring on just one new team member. However, the quality and calibre of applicants we interviewed made the decision an extremely tough one, so we ended up going with two support workers. We’re very excited to introduce both Narelle and Darren as the newest additions to our Farmstays team.

Meet Narelle
Narelle brings with her over 2 years of experience in the disability sector, focusing primarily on capacity building and supporting participants to achieve their goals and develop daily living skills. With a close family member on the NDIS who has complex needs, Narelle has been a natural carer for all her life. Narelle holds a Certificate IV in Disability, as well as all relevant clearances including her Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening — and she’s ready to start supports straight away.

Meet Darren
Darren has spent 10 years in the aged care sector and the last 5 years working in disability support, including with participants who have complex needs. His passion for this line of work began when caring for a close family member with dementia, which has led him to a meaningful career in the care sector. Like Narelle, Darren also holds a Certificate IV in Disability and has completed all required checks. He’s also ready to start supports straight away.

To all those who applied but were not successful this time — thank you again for your time and interest. We were genuinely impressed with the talent and heart shown by everyone we met. We’ll be keeping all resumes on file and will be in touch for future opportunities.

Hello Everyone

Over the past 7-10 days, we’ve had the pleasure of interviewing 12 wonderful applicants for our latest casual support worker role. We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a resume and/or cover letter and made the effort to come out and speak with Matt and myself.

The quality of applicants has been outstanding. We’re genuinely thrilled to have had so many great people interested in being part of what we’re building here at Connect Farmstays. I'm not joking when I say this, we would hire you all if you could!

Because the decision is such a tough one and we're also coming up to a very busy time at the Farm (we're booked every day of the school holidays 2 week period), we kindly ask for a little patience — we expect it might take another week or so to finalise everything. We want to make sure we’re giving each application the careful consideration it deserves.

No matter the outcome, every single applicant will be contacted, and we’ll provide feedback from your interviews as well. We truly value the time and effort you all put into this process.

An update on our group respite at Farmstays, we have just filled our children's group recently as well. So currently our adults and children's groups are both full, we do still have limited space available in our teenagers group.

We do have a 4th weekend free, so if you're still interested in our services please message us as we have the potential to build another group in future around the enquiries that we receive. Thank you!

Hello Everyone,

We’re excited to share that we’re currently on the lookout for someone to join our team at Connect Farmstays as a Casual NDIS Support Worker, working alongside our fantastic team members Kyle and Tayla—who are now at or near full capacity with their current participants.

This role is similar to that of an independent support worker, and involves assisting participants with community access, capacity building, and self-care activities in the home. There will also be opportunities to fill in at the Farmstays when Matt or I are unavailable.

We’re looking for someone who is caring, comfortable supporting a wide range of participants, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. As a small team (and proudly staying that way), we make it a priority to listen to our staff—your input around roster planning will be valued and ongoing. We’ll work with you to build a flexible schedule that suits how many hours you’re looking for, and we also pay our team very well for their work.

Experience in disability support is preferred, but not essential. The right person will have a valid Victorian driver’s licence, and ideally hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate and an NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be willing to obtain one).

Hello Everyone,

We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the sales staff out at Warrnambool Kia, as we have just purchased two brand new Kia K4's as business vehicles.

We have never promoted a business on this page before, but the staff out there have gone above and beyond and provide the best quality service in town and as we work in the service industry ourselves, we really believe that top quality service matters.

I (Steven) have been taking a participant out to Warrnambool Kia now almost on a weekly basis for over a year and the kindness they have shown us both have been exceptional. So if anyone is reading this and is interested in buying a new or used vehicle, please go and see Dalton Barby, Josh New, Ben Turner-Dwyer or any of the sales staff and I guarantee you will get the best service in town.

Both Matt and I have multiple years experience working in dealerships and can confidently say this is the best experience we've ever had. Thank you to the team at Clinton Baulch Motor Group for your efforts.

We currently have one of the K4's in and are awaiting the second vehicle to arrive, exciting times ahead! So if you see any of the vehicles on the road give them a toot, as our casual staff Tayla and Kyle will be getting around in them.

Hello all,

An update regarding our current availability at Connect Farmstays. One of our casual staff members Tayla has more capacity/availability for independent supports so if anyone is interested in a female support worker please reach out and let us know.

We are also looking for an individual or group who may be interested in attending Comic Con in June 2025 as part of a group. We have a Farmstays regular who is funded at 1:1, but would like to go as part of a group, if anyone knows anyone who may be interested also please let us know.

Lastly, just a brief update on our regular Farmstay weekends groups, our children's group has one spot available and our teenagers two spots available. These will be the final spots available and then our weekends will be completely full.

Took the teenage group to Dale Cleves in Warrnambool today so one of them could test out the Yamaha Pianos (he's now telling his Mum he wants one just a small 6k loan please Mum 🤣). A talented young man who's definitely going places! 🙂

Today marks 18 months since we did our very first Farmstay at Connect Farmstays! 🎉🎉🎉

A lot has changed since the beginning, and we wanted to thank everyone who has helped us along the way, we wouldn’t have been able to create our vision without assistance so thank you ❤️

We also wanted to provide an update regarding our current group respite (which has been running at a once-per-month basis) as we haven’t posted an update on these in a while

GROUPS
ADULTS: Our Adults group is currently full (we are however still taking enquiries as we are looking at alternative group options)

TEENAGERS: Our Teenagers group is currently full until April 21st, two spots will be available after this date

CHILDREN: Our Childrens group still has two spots available, enquire within

We are also in the process of creating a 4th group (we are just determining what grouping this will be).
