Rosie builds trust with children by creating a space where they feel genuinely seen, understood, and respected. She takes the time to learn what each child enjoys, how they communicate, and what helps them feel comfortable knowing that these small details make a big difference. With families, she values clear and consistent communication, ensuring they always feel informed and supported.
Her favourite moments at work are often the quiet ones that feel huge like when a child independently uses a strategy they’ve been practising. Whether they ask a question, follow an instruction, initiate a conversation, or use keyword sign on their own, these moments show her that the skills are becoming part of their everyday life. They remind her that every modelled strategy, visual support, and repetition truly matters.
Rosie also loves being part of a collaborative team. Working closely with our speech pathologists, she feels supported and inspired by the knowledge they share. This teamwork ensures families receive coordinated, consistent care, with everyone working toward the same goals.
The children she supports remind her daily of the importance of creativity, flexibility, and celebrating every step forward no matter how small. They also show her that communication isn’t always verbal; sometimes it’s a look, a gesture, or a shared moment of play. Families demonstrate the power of advocacy, persistence, and connection.
Alongside her work, Rosie is studying her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education through Deakin University. She is grateful for Mpower’s support from adjusted hours that give her a study day each week to flexible leave for placements. This allows her to continue growing professionally while making a meaningful difference to the children and families she works with.
We’re so proud to have Rosie as part of our team her dedication, heart, and passion shine through in everything she does.
