Congratulations to our ladies boat crew on a fantastic result at the ASRL Surf Boat Carnival in Jan Juc over the weekend. 🌊

Competing in tough conditions, the girls powered through to take out the A Reserve Women’s Surf Boat event. An incredible achievement. From Nipper mums to surf boat rowers, this result is a true reflection of hard work, commitment and determination.

Well done to Gary Askew (Sweep), Natalie Taylor, Vanessa Thornton, Melody Jane and Danielle Kane.

A brilliant effort and something to be very proud of.

🏆 The Life Saving Victoria Senior State Championships, hosted by the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club , has been named the 2026 Warrnambool Community Event of the Year.

The 2025 championships brought more than 1000 people to Warrnambool across the three-day carnival, with competitors travelling from across Victoria to take part in beach, sand and boat events.

As you may know, Life Saving Victoria championships aren't new for Warrnambool, with the club currently gearing up to host its 14th consecutive state championships over the Labour Day long weekend in 2026.

To host a major state championship is a big achievement. To do it every year for over a decade is unheard of for a regional city, and it's a credit to our club and the commitment of the many volunteers who make it possible.
