An Extreme Fire Danger Rating has been forecast for today, Saturday 24 January 2026, in the Wimmera and South West forecast districts. Take action now to protect your life and property – fires will spread quickly and be extremely dangerous.

A statewide Total Fire Ban has also been declared. This means no fires can be lit or be allowed to remain alight in the open air.

An afternoon with Lisa Gorman supports the work of Loved & Shared. With the help of volunteers, agencies and donors, Loved & Shared rehomes quality children's items to families across South West Victoria - supporting local children to thrive, at a time when demand for our service has never been greater. In 2025 we assisted over 700 children in our region and saved over 10 tonnes of items from landfill!

Every ticket purchased will assist our cause to assist even more families in 2026.

JUST IN - MULTIPLE POWER OUTAGES REPORTED

Hundreds of property's are without power due to storm activity in the area.

There are a number of fires reported across parts of the region which could also be impacting power supply.

So far there are outages reported at Scotts Creek, Gellibrand Lower, Jancourt East, Cobden, Glenfyne & Port Campbell.
