Living rurally means we don’t always have instant access to everything.

So when someone says finding me feels like “striking gold,” that makes me smile.

When someone who has lived with chronic pain, surgeries, injections, and years of frustration shares that they’re finally moving forward, I grin.

Or when I’ve been working with a client for two months and, session by session, I see them walking taller, hear they are sleeping better, moving more, finding their own spark… I feel that sparkle.

This is not a relaxation massage – and that’s intentional.

Myotherapy is active, specific, and goal-driven.

It’s for people who want to:
✔ move better
✔ reduce recurring pain
✔ improve function and performance

Treatment includes my signature bodywork, movement testing, education, and simple corrective exercises — because change happens when the body learns, not just when it relaxes.

If you’re looking for quiet music and switch-off time, this probably isn’t your space.

“I guess I’m just getting older…”

I hear this phrase a lot.

Yes, ageing changes our bodies.
No, pain and loss of movement aren’t automatically part of the deal.

What often happens is:
• joints lose range
• muscles lose strength or timing
• movement becomes more guarded

And over time, the body adapts… sometimes unhelpfully.

Myotherapy helps distinguish what’s normal ageing from what’s treatable dysfunction – and then builds movement back where it’s been quietly shrinking.

Age adds chapters.
It doesn’t mean the story has to close early.

In a myotherapy session I’m assessing things like:
• How joints are moving
• How muscles are working together
• Load tolerance and capacity
• How your nervous system is responding to movement

Two people can walk in with the same shoulder pain and need completely different treatment.

Because pain doesn’t come from muscles alone – it comes from how the body manages movement over time.

That’s why myotherapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach… and why treatment changes as your body changes.

Pain relief feels good. But relief isn’t the same as resolution.

This has always been part of how I treat.

Pain is often what brings people in, but it’s rarely the whole story.

🔹 Pain is the symptom
🔹 Dysfunction is why it keeps coming back

Bodywork helps settle pain and calm the system.
Myotherapy builds on that by asking why the pain showed up in the first place.

When we address dysfunction, pain doesn’t just ease… it stops needing to shout.

If pain keeps returning, this is exactly the kind of work we explore in sessions. Appointments are available later this week and next week.
