… it’s that nobody gave you a plan.

Somewhere along the way, women were sold the idea that after having a baby you should just “bounce back.”

Back to your body, to your strength, to your old routines.

And if that doesn’t happen quickly?

You quietly assume something is wrong with you.

Because when your core feels disconnected then your pelvic floor feels unpredictable. When activity feels heavy or uncomfortable, and your back aches by the end of the day… what do you do?

Try to push through it?

Maybe you attempt a few random exercises.

Maybe you tell yourself you just need more discipline.

But something I am passionate about is that postpartum recovery shouldn’t be a guessing game. Your body went through pregnancy, birth, hormonal shifts, tissue changes, sleep deprivation, and months of adapting to carrying and feeding a baby.

That isn’t something you simply “bounce back” from.

It’s something you rebuild.

Not sure where to start after having a baby?

My number one piece of advice is… before you jump into random “core” workouts… pause.

The first thing I look at isn’t how strong your abs are.

It’s how you breathe.
How your pelvic floor responds.
How your body handles load.

Because if your breath and pelvic floor aren’t working together, no amount of crunches will fix the problem.

What I find is, a lot of women are told to “just strengthen.” But strength without coordination can make symptoms worse — or keep you stuck.

Inside my sessions, we start with the foundations.
— Breath mechanics
— Pelvic floor timing and relaxation
— What your body currently tolerates

Then we build from there, based on you, your goals and what you’re tolerating.

Your rehab should be staged and personalised to you — your birth, your symptoms, your goals.
