There’s nothing quite like running in the sea of pink,
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

This weekend our Pear team joined the International Women’s Day Fun Run for our 5th year, surrounded by thousands of people moving for something bigger than themselves. It was pretty special to be out there together, running for those fighting in treatment and in celebration and memory of those we have lost to breast cancer.

I’m always so proud of our Pear team for showing up to be part of moments like this. Our community consistently gets involved in efforts that support women’s health, and it means a lot to stand together outside the clinic as well.

A big cheer to all of our Pear clients we spotted out there too. Seeing you along the course was the highlight! Whether you’re rebuilding after cancer treatment, pregnancy and birth, or returning to movement after injury - reaching these activity goals is something to celebrate. Well done 👏 👏

So proud of this community and the strength it represents

It’s the first of the month - a reminder to check your breasts.

Knowing what’s normal for you matters. A regular self-check helps you notice changes early, things like a new lump, skin changes, ni**le changes, or pain that feels different.

In the shower, lying down, or getting dressed - using the flat of your fingers, checking from your armpit all the way across the breast.

There’s no perfect technique, just familiarity.

Save this post as your monthly nudge 🤍

To our beautiful endo community 🤍

The recent Four Corners investigation and reporting from ABC News has felt incredibly heavy.

We know many in our community are feeling shaken, especially those who are waiting for laparoscopy, recovering from surgery, living with persistent pain
or still searching for answers or a diagnosis.

If that’s you, we want you to know - we see you. We believe you. We are here for you. You deserve care that feels safe. You deserve to be heard. You deserve to be supported to explore all options.

Endometriosis is complex. It impacts your body, your mental health, your relationships, your fertility, your work — and your trust in the healthcare system. When stories surface that raise concerns about care, it can bring up fear, anger, grief and uncertainty. All of those feelings are valid.

At Pear, our focus is whole-person, collaborative care for people living with endometriosis. We are proud to be part of Brisbane’s first GP Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic alongside

We offer
🌿 Pelvic health physiotherapy
💪 Women’s health exercise physiology
🤍 Massage therapy

And we work closely with trusted gynaecologists and allied health practitioners to support you with clarity, consent and evidence-informed practice at every step.

If you’re needing support, connection or advocacy, there are also incredible organisations walking alongside this community, including , and .com.au .

Sending so much love to anyone feeling the weight of this news. 🤍 🍐

A friendly reminder - no classes running on Saturday 7th March.

Our team will be spending the day up-skilling at The Research Update conference - with our very own Esme & Frankie speaking with .

It’s a full day focused on the latest research and practical updates in strength training in women’s health and we’re excited for the whole team to dive into this learning.

Investing in education is part of how we continue to raise the standard of care at Pear. Taking time out to learn means we come back more informed and better equipped to support you at every stage.

Thanks for understanding, we look forward to bringing knowledge straight back into the clinic!

As Esme is nursing a new soft tissue injury, this was helpful to remember!

The old RICE method is out — PEACE & LOVE is the new evidence-based approach for managing sprains, strains, and other soft tissue injuries.

It combines immediate care with long-term recovery strategies to support faster, stronger healing.

PEACE – Immediate Care (First 1–3 Days)
* Protect: Try to limit painful movement and protect the injured area.
* Elevate: Raise the injured limb above heart level during rest to help reduce swelling.
* Avoid Anti-inflammatories: Ice and anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) can actually slow long-term tissue healing.
* Compress: Use bandages or kinesio-tape to provide support and manage swelling.
* Educate: Focus on natural healing, with good nutrition, adequate sleep and avoiding other hands on treatment in this time.

LOVE – Recovery & Rehabilitation (Following Days & Weeks)
* Load: Gradually returning to load as pain allows - this actually helps stimulate more tissue repair.
* Optimism: A positive mindset and confidence in movement can speed recovery

New strength block programs start this week 💪
If you were looking for a sign to start — this is it!

Our Pear Strength classes run in structured mesocycles - that means progressive programming, clear focus, and enough time to actually build strength (not just feel sore and sweaty).

You don’t need to be “fit enough” to start. You just need to start. Strength training is a powerful, protective, and one of the best investments you can make in your long-term health.

We can’t wait to see you in class 🍐

If you’re new to Pear, here’s what to expect 🍐

💫 Before your appointment, you’ll receive a text with a link to complete your paperwork online, so there’s no clip boards or forms to fill out when you arrive.

💫 When you come in, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly admin team - who will also help with any questions, bookings, or follow-up appointments.

💫 In your session, we will take the time to really get to know you - your history, your goals, and what matters most to you. We listen to you, and there is no one size fits all approach or formula, just support for every step for you.

💫 After your appointment, we provide digital resources like e-books, videos and personalised plans so you feel supported at home, not just in the studio.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the studio 🍐

💗 We’re running for breast cancer again! 💗

This is our 6th year in a row taking part in breast cancer fundraising, and it’s something that means a lot to us at Pear. Many of the women we support have been affected by breast cancer, and walking (and running) alongside them is a big part of what we do.

This year, the Pear team and community are running together- and we’d love for you to join us too! Train with us at Run Club on Tuesdays 5.30pm, and walk, jog/walk or run on the day!

Every donation helps fund counselling services, practical support like mastectomy bras and wigs, and world-leading research aimed at improving care and survival rates for women with breast cancer.

Thank you for supporting something so close to our Pear community 💗

Exercise Physiology, Remedial Massage Therapy, Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, Reformer Pilates

At Pear, we are passionate about Women's Health! Our team provide services to support pregnancy, birth, menopause, cancer, pelvic pain, injury rehabilitation and surgical rehabilitation post mastectomy & hysterectomy. We support women through every stage of life, and our team of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Remedial Massage Therapists & Nutritionists have additional training to work with Women. We recognise that there is a lack of support for women who experience injuries, illnesses or chronic diseases such as endometriosis or abdominal separation and want to help bridge the gap between diagnoses, acute rehabilitation and long term recovery and management. We hope to break down the barriers of taboo and stigma in Womens Health, by providing specialist services from our baby friendly studio, and helping all women to use exercise as medicine to improve their health.
