Feel them on the first!

We support clients through oncology treatments everyday at Pear, and want to do what we can to keep the awareness raising happening - young women get cancer too!

Checking your breasts regularly helps you know what’s normal for you - and makes it easier to notice any changes early.

How to do it:
- with an open hand, make wedges, small circles and feel across and up and down your breast. Don’t forget to feel under your armpit too!

What to look out for:
- Lumps or thickened tissue, check under your armpit too
- Changes in size, shape, or skin texture
- Ni**le changes or discharge
- Any pain or unusual sensations

Early detection saves lives ♥️

Set a reminder in your phone, tell a friend, or make it part of your monthly routine - and a big thank you to all the organisations who help advocate in this space

A space where you can move, rebuild strength, and feel like you again - with your baby right beside you.

Our Mums & Bubs classes run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, these sessions are designed to support your body properly after birth.
And because babies don’t run on a timetable, we have our beautiful cuddle mum volunteers in every class to help keep little ones settled, so you can actually focus on your Pilates workout (and enjoy it).

Pricing 🍐
• $38 casual class
• Discounted 10 & 20 class passes available
• Private health rebates may apply

We’ve been running these classes for over 10 years, supporting thousands of mums through the early postnatal stage - and we’re proud to say we do this really, really well.

At Pear we use VALD technology to help guide recovery after injury or surgery.

VALD gives us objective data on strength, power and symmetry - so we can measure where you’re starting from, track your progress over time, and make informed decisions about when to progress (or sometimes, to pull back).

It means we have clear benchmarks in rehab - not just “how it feels” & we can identify side-to-side differences that can linger after injury. We are using our testing in our run club assessments too - to target any strength asymmetry too!

Jumping on the 2016 into 2026 trend! A look back at the humble beginnings of Pear

I started out at Fernwood Fitness, welcomed our first Pear girls, Nicole & Naomi to the team, and supported lots & lots of women through pregnancy - my main specialty at the time! 🤰What a flashback! Mum & I also completed our first fun run as Pear - fundraising that year for a perinatal mental health charity - and we have kept up our fundraising efforts ever since!

Whilst our branding might have had a refresh over the years (and I certainly have a few more wrinkles!), our values have remained the same: to break down barriers and taboo in women’s health, to bridge the gap in support from diagnosis, acute rehab and long term management for womens conditions - and create a clinic where women feel supported, educated, cared for and empowered in their bodies.

Our space has grown, our team has expanded, but our purpose has never shifted 🍐 thank you for all of your support for all these wonderful years! x Esme

Exercise Physiology, Remedial Massage Therapy, Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, Reformer Pilates

At Pear, we are passionate about Women's Health! Our team provide services to support pregnancy, birth, menopause, cancer, pelvic pain, injury rehabilitation and surgical rehabilitation post mastectomy & hysterectomy. We support women through every stage of life, and our team of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Remedial Massage Therapists & Nutritionists have additional training to work with Women. We recognise that there is a lack of support for women who experience injuries, illnesses or chronic diseases such as endometriosis or abdominal separation and want to help bridge the gap between diagnoses, acute rehabilitation and long term recovery and management. We hope to break down the barriers of taboo and stigma in Womens Health, by providing specialist services from our baby friendly studio, and helping all women to use exercise as medicine to improve their health.
